I don't, in a bubble, have an issue with Batman killing. 89 Batman had him killing people, that didn't particularly bother me. The problem is, then why is Joker alive? Someone who in any number of continuities, he SHOULD have killed is still alive. This implies that either he rethought the whole "no killing" thing after sparing Joker cost him dearly, or the fan theory that Joker is in fact the former Robin or a different close figure to him, and he can't bring himself to kill him. Yeah and in retrospect I didn't like it in the Burton movies either. (where, interestingly enough, the Joker DID die of course) Yeah, you can link me a picture of any number of the 1939 stories, I will still say that was then, this is now, both now as it was in 1989, and now now. It's too easy to ignore the nuances of the character and just make him into an action hero. Even Nolan did this to a degree. Amazing to think that we can thank JOEL SCHUMACHER for being the first modern take on live action Batman who adopted the no-killing, in theory. That's totally fair. I just mean in so far as they didn't establish that for this Batman, so while it's something I'd like to see in the films, it's not something I consider a strike against the interpretation here. Though, maybe they might have them tone it down a little if the supers are trying to be on the same page. Also, I want to call BS just a bit, in that in Batman Forever, Batman totally killed Two-Face, even if not directly, when he threw all of those coins at him like that.

I'll never understand this trend of "say something awful/offensive, say you're joking, and then criticize others who don't find it funny".

Millar seems pretty comfortable throwing rocks from that 17 bedroom glass mansion he lives.

Mark, before you get too smug, remember that the Kickass film had to ignore your terrible ending that would have probably landed you in deep shit.

Why is Barbara Gordon blonde??? because something something hung up on your version something something. LOL I mean, I get changes in hair color like Aquaman and Barry Allen having dark hair because the actors have dark hair. But Jena Malone's natural hair color is a reddish brown, which would have been just fine for Oracle, and they gave her fake blonde hair. The decision making here is baffling.

Well yeah but again Snyder is an idiot.
but I wouldn't be surprised if they ignore this version entirely going forward since she was cut out of the theatrical.

Millar can kiss off for that. You don't say crap like that no matter who it is you're talking about. That's only a step away from a death threat.

And aside from that ridiculous overreaction on his part, there's also the fact that Batman v Superman isn't guilty of anything he didn't do to the Avengers in spades with his Ultimates series. The movie literally felt like something he would do with the characters himself.

Hell, Snyder's amateurish rape-equals-drama tangent about Batman's origin sounds like something out of Millar's playbook, quiet as it's kept.
