The Arizona Republic confirms Carson Palmer is expected to remain the Cardinals' starting quarterback in 2014. I'll give him this much, he put together the best season he had since he led the Bengals to the playoffs. I'd consider him a contender for Comeback Player of the Year.

Dan Patrick saying nfl source told him one more wild card in each conference next year. That would suck.

The Cowboys will still miss the playoffs.

How bout you just have two more wild cards per conference so we can have another round since that is what the NFL wants

The Cowboys will still miss the playoffs. But the Cardinals would have been a serious SB sleeper.

Did all the NFC north teams go winless against non-conference teams and only played and beat each other?

That's like how on NCAA Basketball 2010 I continuously had second round games against 18-17 teams who didn't win their conference tournaments to get in. That's always a head scratcher.

Can I just go on record and say no division depresses me more than the NFC North? All four teams SHOULD be somewhat good, and yet this has to be one of the worst possible seasons the Black and Blue has weathered in a long time. Hopefully if the Bears can get their shit together and the Vikes/Lions get semi-decent coaches, we too could be the NFC We--uh... NFC Sout-- we can have the final Sunday Night game that the East usually gets?

Another wildcard is a terrible idea. There's no need for another 8-8 or a 7-9 team to make the playoffs.

The Arizona Republic confirms Carson Palmer is expected to remain the Cardinals' starting quarterback in 2014. Sucks for them. The Lambs will overtake them for 3rd best in the division. The Palmer-led Cards are better than most teams in the NFL. Much better. They were 8-2 against non-conference teams. Considering that their competition is the Seahawks, Niners and Rams, I don't think a 10-5 record is anything to be upset about. They're going to miss the playoffs, but like the Rams, will get some crucial draft picks to beef up their team. Arizona would do well to get another good WR for Palmer to throw to, to take a load off Fitzgerald's shoulders, and they'd have an even greater ability to score.
