As a person who has done a few short films and web series.... his idea on the movie pisses me off, the fact that he shits on lighting makes me want to slaughter him. Though I did find him on facebook.... I'm not a film maker but I'm in the industry just like you and a lot of his stuff in his movie funding is point blank laughable. I especially liked that he feels he can handle a 200,000 dollar budget Feature Film despite having no directing experience and also how he plans to use complete novice actors despite not having a talented Director to get a solid performance from them. Of course he's also going to have a small part in the film so he's the Producer, Director and now an Actor as well. Lighting was pushed so hard in my second video class that it's 1/2 things I actually learned. Also this phrase: "We don't FILM things, we shoot them onto film."

This is the best thing I've read all weekend and bearing in mind I've rad hardcore Holly's book this weekend, that's some achievement.
Still at zero raised and I also noticed even if this doesn't read the target this Nathan clown keeps what he raises.

Which leads me to believe the guy is trying to scam YouTube commenters, who seem to be his "target audience" for his vision of TNA. He knows he won't raise $5 million, but if he were to even raise a couple of hundred thousand he could walk away with it all without making good on anything he promises.

This part's actually a good idea. Too bad TNA burned its bridge with like every female wrestler ever. It really really isn't unless he planned to run Japan all the time. Women's wrestling doesn't draw outside of Japan. Look at SHIMMER, SHINE etc. 90% of the audience that go to those events are creepy males in the 18-34 male demographic who are incredibly possessive of the women and think they are friends with the talent. I don't know a lot about SHINE but from what I've heard, it's much the same there. Numbers wise, both draw about 300 per show with "female fighting" on the bill and it's the same people every time. Meanwhile WWE uses "Eye Candy" and has made women famous for the simple reason that they're hot. I also love his accusation of anyone that looks good and works a WWE style is a "dumb whore" simply because they don't wrestle the way he likes them to, stay classy. To be fair, he didn't say they were dumb whores. He said they're PORTRAYED as dumb whores. He's blaming the creative direction of the company, not the women themselves.

Looks like it's some pretty bad scamming then. Still at $0, but hey he still has 28 days to go!

So OP is the secret TNA investor. No wonder his partner MVP had to arrive in a soccer mom minivan, the damn kickstarter to buy TNA has failed.

I love that his plan for the wrestling aspect of the company is "basically, we're going to be like UFC"
Sooo.. in that case why would people bother watching his TNA when UFC offers the real thing?

Well Paul Heyman has been pitching the idea of a "UFC type Pro Wrestling Company" for years now and people have been calling him a genius for it.

Also aren't there indys that are already basically doing the full on actual sport style presentation of wrestling?

I have never heard it before, and I don't think people would be calling him a genius for it too... especially when there are srs sport indies out there already...

When Paul was rumored to be coming in a few years ago(09?), supposedly his plan was for Daniel Bryan to come in and tap everyone out for a while to build to a match with Kurt Angle(I think) and at some point he said that wrestling should be more like the UFC and be presented as a legit sport and that's how it came to be. Like anything else some called him a genius and others were kind of laughing at this plan. I'm sure that someone else remembers all of the specifics.
