I doubt Dixie knows who has booked what. Dutch has also been online where he refuted Dixie's claims. Simple facts here: 1. Dutch was the champion of the knockouts division and handled most of it. One of 2 things TNA was doing right. When he left TNA, it went down hill. 2. No one ever chanted "Fire Dutch" or anyone else for that matter. 3. Dutch walked onto WWE and 5 minutes later, the no 1 heel in the company. He even made a guy who was 2 seconds away from being "future endevoured" into a main event guy. Of course the Impact Zone is full of Smarks, so is WWE. So was ECW and WCW. Whats your point? Put on a good show and they cant complain. As for point 3. I have never heard anyone ever praise TNA. Saying "They might finally be getting it" or "That guy is gone so maybe it will start getting good" is not praise. TNA went out of business in 2003 remember. If not for Dixie bailing them out, TNA would already have died. TNA has been a constant failure and has failed miserably to gain fans or ratings at all. The budget cutter also shows Mum and Dad are getting tired of loosing money too. First, Dixie definitely knows whats going on. I know everyone loves to play it off as Dixie being this dumb business woman who has no idea etc etc but she does. She's not a "wrestling" person but she knows who does what on her show and she has no reason to blindly defend Russo and blame Dutch Mantel. People just won't admit Dutch had a bad idea because he's an old school southern guy and has built himself a bit of a fan base in the WWE lately. Secondly, Nobody else chanted "Fire Dutch" or "Fire Cornette" because Russo is one of the easiest targets in wrestling. WCW fails? Russo's fault. TNA starts sucking? Russo's fault. Dumb angle in the WWF? Russo's fault. I mean you're even implying in your above post that Russo is responsible for Dixie Carter purchasing the company when in reality no company was going to go from "Regional Super Indy" to "National Juggernaut" in under 6 months. Yet somehow, this is Russo's fault as well. Thirdly, The time periods Russo was in charge for ALWAYS get praise around here. Hell, a lot of people would say 2004 or 2009 was TNA's best year. Both involved Russo to some extent. The shows started to die down in terms of internet hype around 2010 where Russo complained about "Too many cooks in the kitchen" Fourth, in regards to your smarks comment. What the smarks like isn't what the general public like. TNA is going that way currently and look how good the shows are. Your non smart mark wants story line wrestling with characters they enjoy. Russo can do that, not many others can. I'm not saying you have to love the guy or even like him but a lot of the hate in general is from people who just want to follow the crowd and hate Russo because everyone else does. The guy is a talented individual he just has a style that the smart marks can't appreciate. Eric Bischoff has the same issue where people just love to pile on the guy and blame him for things he had nothing to do with and then put the guy down constantly as a performer or writer or whatever simply because they don't like his style. Excellent points. Sor.

I'm hoping to God this is the swerve to end all swerves where even the writers aren't aware of Russo secretly swerving their plot. They'll be like "...Wait...wait but we thought the investor was...WE WROTE THIS DAMM THING HOW IS THIS--" "BECAUSE I'M VINCE RUSSO DAMMIT" That would be tremendous.

If TNA is gonna die, then let the Bizarro Lorne Michaels lead it to it's demise. The final episode of Impact should have everybody gathered in a room for a goodbye party as a drunken Sting locks everybody in and slurs about "Undertaker WrestleMania 27" as he pours gasoline and threatens to burn the building down. Triple H shows up to save Magnus, Bully Raw, Bobby Roode, and Aries. The final image is Bad Influence drinking one last Appletini as we fade to black. The Daniels/Styles/Joe match from 2005 as we see this as the final image: The greatest series finale in tv history

Excuse me, but really? Praised? I think the "FIRE RUSSO" chants would COMPLETELY disagree with you. Point 1: Dixie Carter herself has said that the chant during that match was for a segment booked by Dutch Mantel and not Vince Russo so there goes that logic Point 2: Impact Zone was full of smarks. The TNA audience base was a lot bigger than that. Point 3: Most people praise TNA from like 03-09. Russo was involved in booking and writing for most of those years bar 05 and I believe 06. He was around in 2010-2012 but everyone wants to hate Bischoff and Hulk for those years so if people want to blame Russo as well that'd be contradictory. In closing, people say Russo sucks and is unsuccessful simply because they don't like his style which is fine. I'm personally not a fan of Jim Cornette's booking style but to say he outright sucks and that his career has been 90% shit is very silly. Dutch has openly denied his fingerprints being on the segments of FIRE RUSSO. FIRE RUSSO happened much more than once. Dutch also has history of being a fantastic booker in Puerto Rico. Russo has only ever had two good periods, the WWF (where he was part of a team and let's face it, most of that stuff is pretty cringeworthy nowadays) and late 2009 TNA. That's it.

Is HE the one responsible for Magnus' horrible title defences? I like TNA much better than WWE, but the main events have been overbooked MEGA CLUSTERf***S twice in a row now.

And now I'm officially done. I have episodes on my DVR because I haven't been able to watch in a while, but if Russo is back I'm done.

It's not as if the on screen product right now is much different than it was at points during Russo's time in the company. However no, as of right now he's not back, you can watch your episodes with peace of mind.

I hope that Russo does come back, TNA needs to go balls to the wall batshit insane for a while. Russo is so terrible that I find him endearing.

Guys, for the last time, all reports say that Russo isn't back in any capacity.
Maybe he's advising Dixie in private, we don't know, but the guy's not officially with the company.

My favorite part is the fact that Dixie is keeping everyone in the company in the dark about whether he's working for them or not. Always a great sign of a company in healthy shape.

Maybe he's advising Dixie in private, we don't know, but the guy's not officially with the company. The rumor mill talked about their private meetings. It's way much of a coincidence that TNA have Dave Laguna as head of creative and the best ideas he can come up with is Russo type booking.

As for point 3. I have never heard anyone ever praise TNA. That is just an insane comment unless you are new to wrestling or wrestling forums. TNA in 2004-2006 was hugely popular within the IWC and was blowing what the WWE were doing out of the water. Russo has stupid ideas, but also superb ones. TNA when it has been at its best has tended to have Russo as head booker.
