Genuinely curious what everyones issue is? It's a quite noteworthy piece of WWE history, and I feel people would be interested in seeing it. I know I am. One of their performers died on this ppv, and the WWE has rightfully never released it. And they're going to release it on the Network, during their busiest time, and as a PG company. Strictly from a business standpoint that is not smart at all.

I'm more upset that EC 2014 won't be on there. I get it but dammit, that isn't every PPV WWE. It's just too damn offensive for the Network! Nobody wants to see everybody wrestle nude because of a luggage error.

I'm curious as to why people are morally upset by it. You don't have to watch it, so why deny others? It's not a big deal for me really, I'm interested to see it but it's not make or break for me. I'd be a little miffed at being denied something because other people don't want to see it, though.

I don't know, have they confirmed you'll be able to rewatch every PPV on the network? If so then by that point Extreme Rules would be a glaring hole in it as opposed to a logical exclusion.

I don't think it'll be that big of a story. Meaning, it won't be noticed by too many people outside of wrestling. It'll be only a small blip on the radar, if even that.

Its part of the history. Im perfectly fine with them including being as it aired. I don't expect that, but it is an important show (not for the wrestling). I also am fine with it not airing. I understand them not doing so.

Strictly from a business standpoint that is not smart at all. How is not smart from a business standpoint? The WWE Network is a la carte programming, so there isn't a single viewer who is being forced to sit down, Clockwork Orange-style, and watch Over the Limit 1999. The Network was promoted under the guise of every pay-per-view ever being available and unedited. I think it would be even more noticeable if Over the Limit weren't available. I'm sure there isn't a person in Titan Towers who is saying, "Let's put Over the Limit 1999 front-and-center on our home page!" It's going to be available, but it's not like WWE is promoting this event as some sort of Faces of Death clip. Do I understand those who choose not to watch it? Absolutely, that's their right. It's an uncomfortable and sad experience, even 15 years later. But if someone wanted to watch this unfortunate yet significant piece of professional wrestling history, they are entitled to do just that.

I don't know, have they confirmed you'll be able to rewatch every PPV on the network? If so then by that point Extreme Rules would be a glaring hole in it as opposed to a logical exclusion. According to the FAQ section: 21. Will all of the programming that premieres on WWE Network also be available via on demand? Yes, all programming that premieres on the network will become immediately available in the video-on-demand library. 22. How quickly will content that premieres on WWE Network be made available on demand? Content that premieres on WWE Network will be available on demand immediately after it airs. Whether that applies to PPVs, I guess we'll find out after the Network launches. I'm jazzed that SuperBrawl 3 made the list, because it was my first-ever WCW PPV and the first thing I plan to watch on February 24. As for OTE '99, I have the show on DVD so it being on the Network is a non-issue for me.

Well they did say every PPV
and if they left Over the Edge out than it wouldn't be every PPV now would it?

They will probably do what they are going to do with Benoit and put a disclaimed noting that "OTE is the PPV where Owen Hart died. Viewer discretion is advised." I seriously doubt anyone is buying the Network specifically to see this PPV. Believe me, as someone who watched it live I can tell you it is incredibly upsetting and really wasn't a very good PPV even if they edited the Owen stuff out. It's purely for the morbidly curious.

Better have Vince McMahon vs Mideon, but to be serious I have the feeling that OTE 99 might be the only PPV that gets chopped up. Something like a nienty minute version going over Rock/H, Austin/Taker and a few others.

They'll do the same thing they did with Vengeance '07 after the Benoit murders. They'll edit out all references to the person in question and it will not be made aware of. It'll still have a sad tone to it unfortunately. I can understand why people are upset about this decision but as long as they edit out all the references to Owen I'm cool with it.
On an off-topic note, good grief I'm drooling over that list of all those PPVs. Never thought I'd see the day where I'd get the chance to watch every single WWE, WCW and ECW PPV in their entirety without stocking up on loads of DVDs.

What in the f***? They have to realize that this isn't a good thing. Why are you acting like anyone is forced to watch it? If you dont like it, then dont watch it. Simple as that.

Likely edit the segments out. I don't get the horror anyway, very few of us have probably never watched the PPV on YouTube or somewhere.

If I remember their announcement right, once a PPV is on the Network, it is staying on the Network so that wouldn't matter. This is more likely so people buy it the day before the launch than wait and watch it on the Network.

Two quick notes about Over the Edge '99 -
1) The opening tag match between X-Pac and Kane against Mark Henry and D'Lo Brown is absolutely fantastic. Prior to Owen's death, the crowd was as hot as any wrestling crowd has ever been, and it really adds to all four having surprisingly incredible chemistry together. If you choose to watch the event, do not miss it.
2) As a result of OTE '99 being included, I'm sure there's going to be a lot of thinkpieces that mention the wrestlers wrestling on the mat that's "covered in Owen Hart's blood." I just want to point out that the blood visable on the mat is actually from a Brood ambush-bloodbath that occured earlier on Sunday Night Heat.
