I still think this is one show that should never air. Aside from Owen's death, there isn't anything historical about it. It would just be another random PPV from 1999. What else really happened on this show that they would include it (albeit edited)? The Undertaker won the WWF title in the main event. That WWF Title changed hands approximately 48 times that year* Title changes in those days is like my underwear. Once a week. * -Number may not be entirely accurate

Well at least nobody can say that WWE isn't committed to showing everything. If Benoit is apparently going to be shown, I guess anything is fair game.

The Undertaker won the WWF title in the main event. And that is what I still think is the biggest problem with how Vince handled that night. Shutting the show down early was a mixed bag, but he probally should have held the Taker title win to some other night so that the night could be more easily forgettable. Yep. I've never been able to wrap my hdead around the idea that someone suggested that they still go ahead with the title change. Incredible really.

Actually managed to pick this up in damn near perfect quality along with the pre-show from a seller on eBay a few years back, complete with mocked up box art. I'm a huge DVD collector, and a stickler for missing PPV's, so as tragic a watch as it is, it was a must-buy. Interested to see how they go about it on the Network. The hell is with that sentence on the back cover? "Two McMahon's rules the fight" is not only incorrect in terms of grammar and punctuation, that's some quality "A Winner Is You" Engrish right there.

What in the f***? They have to realize that this isn't a good thing. Why are you acting like anyone is forced to watch it? If you dont like it, then dont watch it. Simple as that. Exactly. A warning is fair enough. It's not WWE's responsibility to cater solely to fans who don't want to see things. This is what I've never understood about people when it comes to Owen, Benoit or anything else. Your morality is your own. That's great. No one can force you to watch things you don't want. But personal preferences and feelings cannot become the universal baseline for all. Each person gets to decide what they can or can't handle. No one should dictate their views and outlooks onto everyone else, no matter how much they're bothered.

I've already read about fifty Facebook morons say how "discusting" (they do struggle with that word) it is to show Owen dying, oblivious to the fact it was never aired. I could see a Fox News style ill-advised shitstorm brewing over this. Shouldn't be that way though. 24 hour news channels have shown people dying live loads of times, like the Challenger astronauts and the 9/11 attacks, then repeating them on loop endlessly.

I don't see why they wouldn't edit over the edge.
If they left it unedited, all you'll be getting is like 15 minutes of looking at the crowd while the commentators talk quietly.

That reminds me of how I'm pretty sure my Batman the Animated Series DVDs are bootlegs. The guide book says The Complete Animaed Series and on the back there's a misspelled URL.

WWE/F Veteran Kevin Kelly - May 23, 2013: "...it sticks with us when we think about that fateful night in Kansas City. I still think about the master tapes on the shelf at the WWE video library inside the walls of the TV studio. Instructions never to destroy, view or duplicate."

True, but the media could harp on this. Because wrestling. Seriously though, I don't think this inclusion would be enough to warrant a media shitstorm. I think having Benoit featured on the network would cause more controversy, and so far that hasn't generated a peep outside of the wrestling fanbase.

Complete series TV box sets are the most common professional style bootlegs, with this being one of many sets that are available from bootleg distributors. The best way to tell if you have one is if the DVDs are dual or single layer.

Can't wait to watch No Mercy 06 again. Was there front row. Am interested to see how OTE will be edited. Have never seen it. I never saw NM06, then I looked up that and Regal's name, and I thought the "schlong" thing was another euphemism to mask who he had a match with that night.

Also, considering the fact they had a match on Raw between Austin and Undertaker for the title the next week.... Couldn't the just have had the title switch there?

I don't see why anyone is shocked this is on the network, you know Vince McMahon has no shame by now.

Great list! Someone else said 427 PPVs total. If that's accurate and you watched 1 PPV a day it'd take you 1 year, 2 months and 2 days to watch everything offered. That's assuming you plan to watch every single show of course and BEFORE factoring in that we'll get 12 new WWE PPVs with the Network plus whatever other content WWE adds during that time. I know Owen Hart is a hot-button issue, but seriously, let's be happy about the Network list for a second, yeah? All that said, I'm glad this show will be featured. Owen doesn't deserve to be erased from WWE history just because he died in a terrible accident. I'm sure the show will be edited in some way, and no one will be forced to watch it.
Now I wonder what they'll do with Beware Of Dog when the lights went out. Probably splice it together with the matches they aired originally on the Tuesday replay edition.
