Woooohoo we get to see Kat's boobies!!!! What was the PPV that had Regal's schlong? No Mercy 2006 I have this on DVD and never noticed it. I'm going to go back and try to spot this. The horrendous Miz birthday segment from the same PPV should be censored since it's one of the worst segments in WWE history.

I have over the edge 99 on vhs (got it for 33 cents at a thrift store, someone recorded it) Its really depressing. and not even whenit happens but how the wrestlers are afterwards, espcially jeff jarrett.

Honestly, I think this is a good move. Seems the primary goal of the Network's on-demand service is the preservation of wrestling history. Few PPVs have near as much historical significance as OTE 99, even if it is for the worst reason. Its there for those who're curious, but I think most will ignore it.

Can't wait to watch No Mercy 06 again. Was there front row.
Am interested to see how OTE will be edited. Have never seen it.

More than likely an unpopular opinion, but I'm glad the PPV is on here. It's certainly a depressing show to include, but it's not like they're forcing anyone to watch. I'm sure, just like with the Benoit events, they'll include an advisory at the beginning explaining the sad significance of the event. For historical purposes, it's better to include it than to erase it from their history and never mention the event ever again. I'm more curious if they'll include the Benoit tribute Raw or the moments at Bad Blood 97 where they announce Brian Pillman's death I'm sure the Pillman announcement will fly under the radar, but the Benoit Raw has no shot of ever being shown again, no matter how many matches of his are on the Network.

I hope they eventually include stuff like Wrestlefest and Clash of the Champions.

You just KNOW that some soccer Moms little kid is gonna see this PPV, be traumatized, and that's when the real fun starts.

Well in this case it's okay to just skip the owen stuff. It's not like you'd be missing a match.

I hope they eventually include stuff like Wrestlefest and Clash of the Champions. Same. I also hope they add those old Coliseum Home Videos that were match compilations with some kind of theme.

Eugh. This is tough for me. I wasn't even watching wrestling at the time this happened, so I lack the emotional connection somewhat. Combine that with my compulsive need for completion I'd normally be motivated to say they should include it for completion's sake.
But I don't know... this is seriously a tough one. As much as I am compelled to want them to put the Pay Per View on there in its entirety I realize that even for me watching it through would just be damn depressing. As much as I've always wanted to watch every WWE pay per view in order... I think this one would just make me sad.
I think were I the guy in charge I'd put it on there, mostly unedited too, and just put a heavy warning at the start of it for anyone about to watch. But I can certainly understand why people would rather not have it on there at all, or have it there but Owen references edited out.

No amount of editing is going to make people forget what happened to Owen Hart so they would be better off just not airing it on the network if they wanted to save themselves some negative publicity.

I've already read about fifty Facebook morons say how "discusting" (they do struggle with that word) it is to show Owen dying, oblivious to the fact it was never aired.
I could see a Fox News style ill-advised shitstorm brewing over this.

I'm disappointed at the lack of SuperClash III. I know it's probably awful, but still... I want to see it. Wasn't that an AWA PPV? From my count and if this list is accurate there will be 427 PPVs. Does anyone else plan on watching them all in order? lol I was hoping they would include rare early NWA events like the Crockett Cups and early great american bashes. I'm not sure how much footage exist of some of those events though. I'm honestly just glad that they put up the early starrcades because those technically weren't PPVs. Starrcade 87' Chi-Town Heat was technically the first NWA PPV. That is probably why they don't include early events like Great American Bash 1985, Crockett Cup 86, Crockett cup 87, and great american bash 87. As far as I know most of those were only closed circuit and not actual PPV. As for the OTE '99 thing I'm a little split on it. I was actually at the event so I kind of have this weird thing about it because it was my first PPV to ever go see live. I enjoyed it at the time mostly because I didn't actually see Owen fall(most people in the arena didn't) and had no clue he died till after the event driving home when we heard it on the radio. I have fond memories of it considering it was my first PPV(like how the New Age Outlaws faced each other when it was also in Kansas City where they originally formed as a team) but there certainly is a dark cloud over it. Should they include it on the network? I'm not sure. Considering you can already see it pretty easily online I don't think it really matter that much unless they are just trying to save face and not get bad publicity. It's not like if they don't include it people can't ever see it. The unauthorized version has been online for years.

I still think this is one show that should never air. Aside from Owen's death, there isn't anything historical about it. It would just be another random PPV from 1999. What else really happened on this show that they would include it (albeit edited)?

Actually managed to pick this up in damn near perfect quality along with the pre-show from a seller on eBay a few years back, complete with mocked up box art. I'm a huge DVD collector, and a stickler for missing PPV's, so as tragic a watch as it is, it was a must-buy. Interested to see how they go about it on the Network.

And that is what I still think is the biggest problem with how Vince handled that night. Shutting the show down early was a mixed bag, but he probally should have held the Taker title win to some other night so that the night could be more easily forgettable.
