Except Del Rio got a face turn and an opportunity to bring something new the table, yet he still found himself not giving over. You're deflecting Del Rio's lack of charisma unto the management.

Except that he was very over as a face and they quickly turned him heel for no reason. And he has been very over as a heel in the past as well. It's his current gimmick of a heel with no personality other than armbars that's failing. That's on management.

I remain a stubborn mark for Curtis Axel. I'm also a huge Tensai fan, though it seems he may be hanging up the trunks in favor of a commentary gig.
I also don't mind Jericho's constant returns and departures, even though he gets a lot of grief about it. I like the fact that he (mostly) helps put guys over rather than hogging the limelight during his brief visits, like many of the past guys on celebrity cameo contracts.

-TNA in general (I like them better than WWE again and I pretty much enjoy everyone there, even Gunner) -Lex Luger, Scott Steiner, Ultimate Warrior and Sid as oldschool hosses with enough ability to entertain in the ring and funny as hell in their crazy promos -Matt Hardy, Paul London and Brian Kendrick in their weird crazy shoot videos

John Cena, Triple H and Alberto Del Rio are the three that spring to mind. But that said, I have also often criticized them!

Bit of a tough thread as everybody is criticised and everybody has fans but I guess these:
Cena, HHH, Santino, Sheamus, AJ, Alicia Fox, Khali, Rey, Kane, Ryder.
I'm also a believer that giants, midgets and twins always have a place on the roster.

I love Michelle McCool, I think she and Layla were legitimately great as Laycool. Their skits were funny and the matches were ok.

I love John Cena. His gimmick is stale and played-out yet he still manages to deliver in big promos and big matches like a no. 1 guy in the company should. He is an excellent face for the company and he is able to adapt to different situations without being pissy about it. I remember Cena's performance as a de facto heel at One Night Stand '05 as being one of my all-time favorites because he managed to turn a corporate face into a bad ass tweener.
Cena is also never given enough credit for making guys look good and putting them over. He lost to RVD, CM Punk, and Daniel Bryan while making them all look good, and he didn't necessarily have to do that.
Otherwise, I think Nash is a MASSIVE bullshitter and a guy who did some awful things with company politics in WCW, but easily one of the most entertaining men in wrestling from a character standpoint EVER. He is just so brash and so confident that it works for him. I first came into wrestling on DEEEEEEESEL POWAAAAAA (His 1995 reign) and he was a great hook. I don't think it's nostalgia talking to say that he played his character very well and is also an incredibly sharp talker to boot.
Everyone shits on Psycho Sid around here, but man, what a great monster heel. That guy looked unhinged and would really work his ass off for matches if need be. He doesn't get nearly enough love.
Miz is OK. Not great, but OK. I have definitely cooled off on him in the last couple of years, but he's still pretty good.

Oh yeah, let my bias shine through considering I always used to get a kick out of understanding his promos in Hindi, but I enjoy the Great Khali. He gets approximately five to 10 minutes of screentime here and there, but people STILL make it seem like he is some huge doofus being pushed constantly. He has not received a real push for at least five years, if not more. He comes in, gets his spots, and gets out. He is an old-school tall heel that the roster has nothing else like nowadays, and I find something about him super endearing. He will never be a World Champion again--probably not even a contender--so don't take him so seriously.

Kofi Kingston is one of my favorites and I hope he becomes WWE World Heavyweight Champ one day. People seem to hate on Emma now, but I love the gimmick and how she performs it. Cena can go just as good as Punk, Bryan, or anybody else; if he's given a good opponent and a good storyline. He just gets saddled with a lot of crap. Plus I have to love a man who overcame his crippling OCD to become a wrestler. What's this about OCD?

I always was and will be a huge Randy Orton mark. Guy has a superstar look, is solid (when not especially motivated) to flawless (when motivated) in the ring, is better on the mic than he gets credit for and has worked his ass off in WWE for twelve years now (yet Punk gets to complain about his schedule). I also dig his mannerisms, little gestures and his selling of his opponent's promo work.
I'm not happy with how he's been handled right now, though. Give me silent killer tweener Orton who destroys dudes left and right with RKOs and I'm a happy farmer.

Del Rio was very over as a face. Hate Del Rio all you wont but don't lie to make your point that is just wrong. I do not understand this need people have to claim that someone they do not like is not over and does not get reactions no matter how false that claim is.

Orton haters will tell you it's not legitimate heel heat but "go away" heat (they even might be right about this, given how Orton's been presented). I also think it's ridiculous to claim Orton's been handed everything on a silver platter because he's third generation and a HHH guy. If it was that easy, the Mania main event would be Curtis Axel vs. Drew McIntyre. Also, HHH loves nothing more than to bury Orton personally every few years.

Sheamus is my #1 as far as a performer people hate on that I enjoy. I was very happy to see him back as I enjoy his matches and his corny promos. Also I think Orton is very under appreciated here.

I can find things I like about just anybody wrestler, whether it's Triple H, Randy Orton, The Miz, or Curtis Axel, Jinder Mahal, and Heath Slater. There are very few performers I don't enjoy on some level. People here don't like Slater, didn't really notice it? I thought he was well liked around these parts.

It's yet another counter thread. Sorry. You should all know who my #1 here is. Others for me include Miz, Sheamus, HHH and Steph, Orton, and Kofi. I have no idea who your number 1 is :/ why should we all know? (Apologies if the answer is in your sig or something, I have them turned off)

Randy Orton can be pretty awesome when he wants to be
Sheamus is actually a better wrestler than people give him credit for.
Ryback could have been WWE champion by now had they not screwed his character up.
