Punk being a dick in real life. I've never understood why people think this. He's just opinionated (and often correct), and on his Twitter he only insults people who are clearly imbeciles. I'd love for someone to deconstruct what supposedly makes him such a dick. I also want to throw out that, having friends who've waiting on Punk in the food service industry, dude regularly tips in the 50% region, which is almost unheard-of.

Kofi. He wasn't always criticized around here though. He's probably the main one that comes to mind.

Oh and yeah John Cena but the Cena hate on this board is such a nonissue that I sort of forget to mention him in discussions like this. Most people here at least respect him.

I can find things I like about just anybody wrestler, whether it's Triple H, Randy Orton, The Miz, or Curtis Axel, Jinder Mahal, and Heath Slater. There are very few performers I don't enjoy on some level. True. Literally the only performer in the WWE and pretty much the entire wrestling industry that I despise irredeemably is The Great Khali. Everyone else I tend to find something to appreciate. Hell even then I got a good laugh out of the Snake Charmer segment...

Just sticking to the current roster: Orton: I don't think he can have a bad match and while I think he's been always been solid on the mic, his promo work lately has been excellent. Triple H: Been one of my all time favorites for well over a decade now and find a lot of the hate toward him laughable. Curtis Axel: Yeah, he's not his father but rarely do guys become their father in the ring. He is still solid in the ring and that is fine by me.
Also, I guess Dean Ambrose counts for this now. I find his promos and selling to excellent.

I like that he feels the way he does about something, and that's that. He's not really concerned with hurting anyone's feelings with his opinions. I find myself trying to get along with everyone too much, being too nice and agreeable, and I'm introspective enough to realize that it's rooted in a fear of conflict, and a fear of conflict relates to a lack of self-confidence. I see it in others too, and I find it annoying, yet I realize I'm that way myself. Punk doesn't seem to fear conflict or care if people have a negative opinon of him, and I admire that about him. In fact, if I could be more of a "dick" and be liked by less people, without doing anything that's actually malicious or harmful, I would consider that a positive development, because it would mean I'm being more honest and have more confidence in myself. While I agree with pretty much everything you said and believe that having a fear of conflict is a bit of a negative trait (I know because I have it too), I feel like Punk is the opposite extreme. He's so confident in his own beliefs that he considers them to be out and out facts and that any other viewpoint is just wrong. The guy that thinks he's the smartest person in the room and wants everyone to know it. Now obviously, I don't know the dude IRL but that's always the impression I gotten from him. To be that confident is somewhat admirable but it doesn't necessarily make for a great human being. This is starting to feel like a conflict....YOU WIN TAKE MY MILK MONEY! I think being that one-track and inflexible in your mindset is going to put some people off, but make the ones that agree with you that much more devoted. Being friendly to all will help you connect with a wider group of people, but not as intensely. I don't follow Punk on twitter and I've never read any outlandish things that justify the way many people think he's this awful guy, but what I have noticed is that if he doesn't like someone, he's not likely to smile and act friendly with them. One of my best friends is like that, if someone he doesn't like comes up and starts talking he will literally say "get the f*** away from me. I don't like you, don't talk to me." To me, that is awesome, even if it is pretty dickish in principle, like "you're not even good enough to speak to me". But he just doesn't have time for bullshit. A lot of people think he's an asshole, but he's also the very best friend you could ever ask for, will drop everything to help you no matter what. Meanwhile, no one thinks I'm an asshole, but if someone I don't like comes up and talks to me, I'll shoot the shit and act nice. I hate that I do that, it's fake. Being nice is my default mode, and that's an easy way to get through the day, but it also leads to holding things in and being resentful. And you can only hold things in for so long. Sometimes, going off on someone and being an prick is the best thing you can do. I cussed my boss out last week, like went to town telling him to go f*** himself and shove this job up his ass at the top of my lungs...I got a raise and more hours, and I can tell he has a different respect for me now. The world is a crazy place like that, it was an eye-opener for me.

Mistico's version of Sin Cara. I much prefer it to Hunico's. Its not that Hunico is bad in the ring, he's actually quite athletic and is very impressive, its just that Mistico had a certain energy to him. He brought a lot more personality to the character.

Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose, apparently.
Oh, and Chris Jericho, it would seem.

I can't stand Khali on my TV, but the man is revered in India and does an absolute metric shitload of charity work there. I can't hate on him for using h is paychecks to pretty much support his entire village back home.

The Miz. I marked for him on The Real World, I marked for him on the Real World spin-offs, and I marked for him when he got called up to the main roster (even though he sucked something awful in the first couple of years).

Great Khali. I love the big goof. Always good value in the Rumble.
Big Show. Greatest giant wrestler in history, even better than Andre as an all-rounder, if not in aura. Never get sick of him.

Alberto Del Rio is one of my favourite wrestlers in the world right now.
The Miz is solid in ring (yes, I know the rest of the roster is higher quality but his selling and ability to put over the point of a match makes him worth having), puts his all into promos and matches even with awful booking ideas (much like Del Rio) which sadly is what people seem to resent him most for. "He's trying too hard!" Which is sad really, maybe if he didn't agree to do anything and everything he'd have better story arcs written for himself.
The Rock, as much as his ring work quality HAS slipped still had the ability to draw an audience in and make them care for 20+ minutes in every match since his return. Still as charismatic as he was back in the day too.
Sheamus. I was one of the WM28 crowd booing at how that match went but Sheamus as an in ring guy is fantastic. Again, a victim of bad booking, when the guy himself is unfairly lambasted.
Randy Orton. Can cut one hell of a promo given the right material, when allowed to go off the cuff and react to fans he is damned charismatic, and he sells really well. Maybe he doesn't bump well due to his shoulder injuries in the past but he completely puts over the brutality of pro-wrestling which is something not a lot of people manage.
I'm sure there are more but those are the ones that are oft-mocked on this board, and I don't feel like going into grey areas to list a dozen more people who may be criticized from time to time by a smaller amount of users (I don't see how Ambrose/Ziggler etc are oft-criticized on here at all).
