So yeah, pardon me if I don't exactly feel sorry for him. You are pardoned because you don't get the point of my post. Why attack him for how he's being booked? That's beyond his control. He's booked horribly to be a bland aggressive heel. He deserves sympathy like anybody else who has a horrible, horrible gimmick. Why is attacking him the logical thing to do? There are posts about people "HATING" the guy and hoping he retires because he's boring. Daniel Bryan would be boring if he had Del Rio's Gimmick. Stone Cold Steve Austin would be boring if he had Del Rio's gimmick. Hell, even Hulk Hogan would be boring if he had Del Rio's gimmick. Actually, if reports are to be believed, Del Rio is pretty much an ass backstage, acting like he's entitled because of how hard the WWE's been pushing him, and has basically been throwing a fit these days because he hasn't had a lot to do since losing the World Title. So I can see why people wouldn't have any sympathy for him, despite it not being him doing the booking.

So I can see why people wouldn't have any sympathy for him, despite it not being him doing the booking. I can understand that, but backstage news really shouldn't cloud people's opinion of a person as a performer. Del Rio should be upset at his current push and fans should be upset with im about it. It's not entertaining and it's not making the best use of him as is possible. He should be fuming about it because he obviously takes pride in his work. At least hasn't taken his ball and went home about it yet. If/When he does that he will probably get the completely opposite response that CM Punk did for doing the same thing. I can see why people don't have sympathy for him being an ass backstage about his push--but I'd argue that most wrestlers get pretty pissy when they are in a bad position like that. Vince seems to respect people more when they get angry about their position too, so it may be the most logical reaction. As strange as that may sound.

Honestly? Teddy Long. I remember everyone just loathing him a few years back, and I couldn't figure it out. He wasn't yet another heel GM, and the Teddy Dance is awesome.

Curtis Axel.
Charisma-less? Yes. Goofy looking? Absolutely. However, I can't hate someone who is that good in the ring, and unlike Del Rio, he's in an unobtrusive spot on the card.

They're just jealous it's not their face on that dolla-dolla bill! Currently, Sheamus. His "funny" promos are cringeworthy, but he's an excellent brawler and his "Fighty time fighty time bloodbloodblood!" face that he makes when he runs to the ring is a thing of beauty. All-time, Hulk Hogan. I don't care if he ruined TNA and WCW, I don't care if he held down your favorite wrestler. I was a huge Hulkamaniac in the 80's and he'll always be in my heart for that.

Oh yeah, let my bias shine through considering I always used to get a kick out of understanding his promos in Hindi, but I enjoy the Great Khali. He gets approximately five to 10 minutes of screentime here and there, but people STILL make it seem like he is some huge doofus being pushed constantly. He has not received a real push for at least five years, if not more. He comes in, gets his spots, and gets out. He is an old-school tall heel that the roster has nothing else like nowadays, and I find something about him super endearing. He will never be a World Champion again--probably not even a contender--so don't take him so seriously. It's funny how Khali gets lumped into the "talentless lug/bad wrestler" category given that he's not the most naturally mobile athlete to begin with. He can only wrestle the style of match his body will allow him to, and given the wear and tear on his knees to begin with by most accounts, he's done a nice job for himself. It's one thing if you think he's boring to watch, but he's not exactly slumming it out there.

Kofi Kingston is one of my favorites and I hope he becomes WWE World Heavyweight Champ one day. People seem to hate on Emma now, but I love the gimmick and how she performs it. Cena can go just as good as Punk, Bryan, or anybody else; if he's given a good opponent and a good storyline. He just gets saddled with a lot of crap. Plus I have to love a man who overcame his crippling OCD to become a wrestler. What's this about OCD? Watch Total Divas. He obsessively cleans his home and doesn't allow food in the house.

Cena. He's capable in the ring and solid on the mic. Great ambassador for the company. I don't see why he gets so much hate.

Can I say Dean Ambrose? I feel like when his name is brought up here now it's usually people saying how he's third wheel and how he can't cut a good promo (wut?).

Alberto Del Rio.
I won't argue he's boring as all can get right now, but that's on WWE for turning him into a bland aggressive heel than any real fault of his. I really think he should have stayed face after dropping the belt to Ziggler if they never intended to do a real program with them. But outside of some very questionable booking decisions he's one of their most solid hands in a long time. I honestly struggle to think of a truly bad Del Rio match, at worst they tend to be passable.

Punk being a dick in real life. I've never understood why people think this. He's just opinionated (and often correct), and on his Twitter he only insults people who are clearly imbeciles. I'd love for someone to deconstruct what supposedly makes him such a dick.

I'd love for someone to deconstruct what supposedly makes him such a dick. I like that he feels the way he does about something, and that's that. He's not really concerned with hurting anyone's feelings with his opinions. I find myself trying to get along with everyone too much, being too nice and agreeable, and I'm introspective enough to realize that it's rooted in a fear of conflict, and a fear of conflict relates to a lack of self-confidence. I see it in others too, and I find it annoying, yet I realize I'm that way myself. Punk doesn't seem to fear conflict or care if people have a negative opinon of him, and I admire that about him. In fact, if I could be more of a "dick" and be liked by less people, without doing anything that's actually malicious or harmful, I would consider that a positive development, because it would mean I'm being more honest and have more confidence in myself.

Not sure what the rest of your post is about, but for the record Seth Rollins is so much better and Roman Reigns is way more badass, I don't see what's so special about him. The entire internet said he's the best thing ever, I'm so let down.

While I agree with pretty much everything you said and believe that having a fear of conflict is a bit of a negative trait (I know because I have it too), I feel like Punk is the opposite extreme. He's so confident in his own beliefs that he considers them to be out and out facts and that any other viewpoint is just wrong. The guy that thinks he's the smartest person in the room and wants everyone to know it. Now obviously, I don't know the dude IRL but that's always the impression I've gotten from him. To be that confident is somewhat admirable but it doesn't necessarily make for a great human being.
