There's people who post regularly here who skip out on every game, every year, and make it their mission to announce it. This is because the roster isn't announced early enough, there aren't enough announcements or videos posted to ensure gameplay to their standards, or if John Cena debuts a new shirt or someone gets released. The game would be outdated! Until they buy it and post more frequently than others about their universe mode and fantasy cards they booked. It's almost as fun to read annually as the actual game buildup. Yeah, I remember one year (I wanna say it was WWE '12?) I listed all the people that said they weren't gonna get the game, then watched as all but one of them actually bought and posted about it. It's the same kind of crap that makes people feel the need to constantly denounce and complain about certain wrestlers so they can feel like special snowflakes for having contrary opinions. Gorram stupid. For the record, I don't think I participated in these threads when WWE 12 came out(which I admit to buying). I didn't buy WWE 13, my brother did even though I told him not to and nobody in the household bought WWE 2k14 at all.

To say that the creation modes are the reason why gameplay isn't touched is absolutely ridiculous. It barely gets updated. No one has said that, though people HAVE said that it's one of the reasons they are able to keep playing throughout the year past it's outdated roster throughout the year. IF someone actually thought CAW was what was holding the thing back, when its had the same designs in it since probably SVR06...then yea theyre an idiot.

The only game I said I wasn't planning to buy was last year's and that was before there was any info out on it; the seeming improvements were the only reason I wound up doing so. This year I'm guessing I probably will get, but I have no intentions of doing it at launch - Smash Bros., Pokemon, and Hyrule Warriors come first.

I feel like I have said this every year But I have enjoyed every game every year. 2007 was probably the one I liked the least. But I get my money's worth every single year And I do enjoy the gameplay

Tbh the only games I was furious at were SVR 2008 (for obvious reasons) and WWE 13 (The no 2 counts and the ineffective finishers was a deal breaker for me) well WWE 12 I didn't like it only because SVR 2011 was SO MUCH better

I fully admit to nearly always caving. I'm terrible at sticking to my word where these games are concerned.
In my defense it usually takes a couple of weeks before the glaring errors become infuriating and I trade it in (like the aforementioned 2 counts in WWE 13. I should have more patience!

I said I wasn't going to get WWE2K14 and I didn't and I'm not going to get this one either. That matchplay footage from a few days looked like the gameplay is still as clunky as ever.

Judging by that, I can see what they meant by 'new entrances' They had to tweak them so randy woudln't be grabbing below the second rope in the new game, the ring is significantly taller now.
Whether or not that flies, is of course, up to the viewer.

Is it just me, or did the 2K14 video look way muddier and blurrier than the actual game?

Looking forward to this on PS4, first WWE game I've got since Smackdown vs Raw 2008. Also nice that RVD is back in it at last.
I hope the most next-gen thing about the game is faster loading times, I've enjoyed the series but it was always a lot of loading.

I want to see some screens/footage from the PS3 version. If the character models look good enough compared to last year, I'm not wasting money on a new console just for shiny graphics. I don't play nearly enough video games to justify that.

Browsing on YouTube and came across this, the Eugene Airplane Ride minigame from the PSP version of SmackDown 2006. Totally forgot about this haha!! I remember the PSP version also had WWE Poker and a quiz game.

I wish that maybe 2K would port over the new Career mode for created wrestlers over on the PS3 & XBOX 360 versions as to make sure the the last & current gen version of WWE 2K15 would have the same content.

Why? They want people to move to the next gen. Also it'll probably feature a ton of VO and other stuff. You don't want a 2 disc wrestling game.

Its time to make a confession. I've never played either Day of Reckoning. How many days will you give me to run to the classic game store (believe it or not, GameStop doesn't carry GC games around here anymore) before I get my ass collectively kicked? Also, as big a fan of the other smark favorites in the form of No Mercy and All Stars, I find HCTP to be overrated. I only like the backstage elements. The gameplay has aged awfully and I've forgotten who half of the roster was. I'm with you on HCTP aging really poorly. Popped it in the other night, and while I enjoy the season mode, the gameplay just doesn't do it for me anymore. Regardless, I would highly recommend picking up Day of Reckoning 2, it's fantastic. The roster is pretty awful, but the gameplay more than makes up for it.

It causes the devs to spend a crapton of time making a dated game and the current gen version is never up to potential. Moving on was the right call. No doubt about it.
