That being said, I'm really beginning to wonder if they're going to try and use him to salvage Orton/Batista. It still won't work. He will leg drop them both and celebrate as the show closes. He hasn't been able to drop the leg in years because of his hips. Not even sure he can get his leg up for the big boot anymore. Um... Axe Bombers for all!

As long as we don't get a 20 minute monologue to open I'm perfectly fine with this. I'm afraid I've got some bad news.

I have a feeling the WWE is going to test Hogan's overness by having him endorse Batista. I don't think fans will boo Hulk at this stage in his career, but endorsing Big Dave probably won't go over well.
Outside of that, Hogan belongs in the WWE, especially at his current age. He is the biggest wrestling star of all-time and one of the reasons WM even exists today. I'm glad the WWE has found a way to use him for the event given that he can't wrestle.

I wonder if they'll have Hogan be a foil to The Authority...

I wonder if he'll be at Elimination Chamber Sunday...I highly doubt it but considering they announced this randomly on WWE.com rather than putting it on TV I wouldn't be too surprised.

Hell yes! I f***ing love the Hulkster! I'm legitimately hoping for him to follow the Rocky plan and have a match with Cena at Wrestlemania 31. I'm already going to that show, but that would make my first Mania even more special. Yes, I'd imagine seeing someone die in the ring is a special experience few have witnessed.

Maybe it's the Mania marathon I've been doing, but I'm thrilled to see Hogan back in a promotion I actually want to watch.

Somehow, Daniel Bryan will win the WWE WHC at Mania and Hulk will pull a WrestleMania IX. Voodoo Child plays as we fade to black.
The Yes Movement can stick it, Brother!

Honestly, I'm not a fan at all of this. Him appearing at WrestleMania 30 is perfectly fine, but him as the host is going to be really annoying. He's likely going to be on throughout the show like The Rock was at Mania 27. I don't want to see him take up 30 minutes of screen time on a PPV when he doesn't even have a match. I've seen him take over shows enough in TNA, I certainly don't want to see him at WrestleMania in a segment after each match.

Neat. He literally has no power so there's no chance of this being a TNA like run where he's on TV for half the time and he brings in the Nasty Boys and Bubba Lovesponge and Brutus Beefcake in. He'll probably just do what Ric Flair does, random apperances while being under contract and doing publicity stuff.
And I don't think this'll effect your favorite lower carder/midcarder's chance of moving up in the card or being on TV or whatever, because if WWE wanted to push them, this wouldn't stop them.

Having him at Mania 30 is fitting, assuming he doesn't steal ridiculous amounts of PPV time. After that, though ... I'm really only okay with this if it's a limited appearance thing, like Flair's current deal. I strongly suspect this is not the case.
I'm also having terrible thoughts of the Hogan/Abyss "ring of power" saga being revisited with Bryan, who trades the maroon and white for red and yellow, and suddenly starts kicking the Authority's ass through the power of Hogan's endorsement alone.
