They've added him to the main roster page. That would be an odd stable.

My nostalgia fill of Hulk Hogan was when I was in the crowd at Wrestlemania 18. That was over ten years ago. There's a time when the past should stay in the past. WWE's nostalgia machine is running on fumes at this point with Batista and post-Miley Cyrus parody Hulk Hogan (in a thong) as its main draws for Wrestlemania 30.

On it's own that would be no problem, but WWE has been nostalgia crazy for the last three years and I'm just all nostalgia'd out. To be fair I think they've been pretty consistent with the level of focus on nostalgia since 2002. There was that period from about 1993 until 2001 or so when they kind of never talked about their past, but since Hogan came back in 2002 it seems like they're always trying to put something out there for fans of the past. I think this is good, I might have never come back if not for the return of Bret in 2010. True, but back then I never really got the sense that anyone was being held back or neglected due to the presence of the past stars. 2001-2002 featured a massive influx of talent due to the acquisitions of WCW and ECW, and yet WWE made time for pretty much all of them. X didn't get shoved down to the C-shows or stop wrestling altogether to make room for Y. I enjoyed Hogan's 2002 return, and didn't mind when he won the title. But back then Hogan was interacting with a lot of the current talents. They even teamed him with Edge, a fledgling midcarder that they were grooming to be a top star. I don't see current Hogan doing much (if any) of that at all.

I mean there was a revolving door of world class talent being brought in just to put over the guys stuck on those shows. Every wrestling promotion has guys that could probably get more of a shot, it's just the reality of only being able to focus on so many people) (this is not to at all absolve WWE of shitty booking). I don't see current Hogan doing much (if any) of that at all. I really don't think Hogan is stealing anyone's spot. I can't imagine he'll be doing any more than showing up once in a while. I think these are all great criticisms for Batista but I don't see how they apply to Hogan.

The last time The Hulkster was involved with anything XXX, he was f***ing his best friend's wife. Let's hope this works out better. God damn...Post of the year! I endorse this message.

So, cine Rock began his "comeback" hosting Mania, that means in two years we get Hogan defending the title at Mania?
Can we rule this out, or what are the odds?

Would have been better if it was a surprise entrance on Monday, though most of us saw it coming anyway. Having one of the biggest starts of the last 30 years return for the first time in seven years as a TV surprise is so unbelievably stupid, especially since they want TV networks to know that Raw gets great ratings as they're trying to double their rights fees. I would push the hell out of Hogan, Lesnar and Taker for this Monday to reach for a 5.0 rating. Also, he's not wrestling. WWE is really serious about their people passing a physical before wrestling since Lawler almost died on live TV and Hogan can't. I was speaking as a fan, not a WWE employee. The Rock's return was unadvertised, so I figure from a fan's point of view, Hogan showing up unannounced would blow the roof off the arena.

It's great to see Mr Wrestlemania is hosting Wrestlemania XXX. Screw HBK, Hogan is Mr. Wrestlemania, without him there is no Wrestlemania.
Just don't bring Brooke in with him.

They've added him to the main roster page. Hogan looks like he's holding an invisible award. Probably the Oscar he should have won for 'Suburban Commando' if 'Suburban Commando' was literally the only movie that came out that year and Christopher Lloyd was ineligible for nomination.

Hogan drops the leg on Batista at WM XXX, leading to Hogan/Batista at WM31? "Brother, I've defeated all the minor draws in every era, except for you, jack!"

At this point in his life, it's time for Hogan to be the person who needs to be the rescued veteran. He spent 30 years running to the ring helping people who are being attacked by the dastardly heels. Hitting the ring with 3 punches to each heel and a few big boots clearing the ring, fans would jump to their feet in celebration and eat up every second of the posing afterwards. Now is the time for Hogan to be the victim because it would be believable for anyone on the current roster to take Hogan down to the mat. Imagine the heat anyone who attacks Hogan would get and then the pop for whoever comes to his aid? The roof would blow off the arena. Bryan doesn't need that cheap pop rub since he's already over. Why not give it to someone like Zigger or Big E and push them to the moon after that. That's what they should do with Hogan, he could still do the posedown with the face afterwards having Real American playing. He could take a few hits and get a little physical without having to sustain a full match. It'd be the best way to use him right now. Although, I'm a Hulkamaniac so I'll be marking whatever they do with him.

That's the thing. Those guys still got to work hEat, Metal, and Jakked. They weren't bumped off TV entirely and not wrestling for months. People weren't making "LOL Bob Holly, Val Venis, Scotty 2 Hotty, Albert, etc. is still employed?" jokes about the past low carders because they still got used in some capacity. Nowadays the presence of the past stars ends up bumping down featured players to the C-Shows, forcing them to bump off the C-show regulars in turn and we end up not seeing them on TV at all.

Might as well give it to someone they're sure of. Like the tagline for Martin. Not that Martin. There it is, my favorite Martin. If you were the age you are now I imagine you'd hold a torch for guys on shows like HeAT, Metal and Jakked. Would you rather they get fired/released, than not used? I can see where it sucks for those guys but there's always going to be people left out of stuff. EDIT: To elaborate, WWE could make so much better use of the talent they have, I can't argue that. At the same time I feel like no matter what there's always gonna be someone at the bottom, and none of that has to do with Hulk Hogan. (keep him away from booking and storylines!)

I would actually like to see Reigns make the save on a Hogan beatdown. Make him a full blown ass kicking face after that.
