dave on the LAW on Taker
Said he didn't know about it in advance other than when they originally wanted the match in 2010/11, Taker offered to lose.

I still need to watch the show from the beginning, but it just didn't feel like it was worthy of being Mania XXX even with Bryan getting his big win. Could no one come out and chase Trips off? Shield? Hogan, Austin and Rock? Shawn Michaels? Ziggler, Miz and Ryder? You're telling me no one had Bryan's back when the shit hit the fan? That's why I can't wait for the Authority angle to die a horrible death. Foley got more backup when the McMahon-Helmsley regime fired his ass. The whole point of the story though is that no one in charge believed Bryan could do it, so Bryan HAD to do it all on his own for it to mean anything. He proved it at SummerSlam and Night of Champions he could do it. It's just odd to me that we'd get a lot of guys months ago coming to his aid...but when it mattered most, no one put their job on the line to do what was right. Hell, I'm sure D-Bry would have given a title shot as thanks to someone.

The solid undercurrent was that while Bryan had been a world champion, this was make or break time for him to determine if he was going to be a guy who won a few world titles or the guy who triumphed and was established as an A+ player.

I've got no problem with him overcoming the odds. He deserved that ending. I just find it odd with all the guys the Authority pissed off that a single one couldn't be bothered to stand up to the boss. I'll just blame blackjack and hookers. You know HHH made it happen.

Wasn't really a fan of this show. Nothing was really bad, it just didn't do it for me. Probably because the Bryan stuff was so predictable. How Orton didn't break his back falling on that monitor is pretty amazing though. That divas match was about 15 minutes too long. Good show overall, Taker losing took the wind out of my sails I think.

I'll just assume they were all backstage watching the ending to Lesnar / Taker over and over again wondering who spiked the punch to cause the mass hallucination.

You know its funny; two years after 18 seconds, Daniel Bryan is the unified world champion winning two matches and is cemented as the top babyface in the company (sharing with Cena), AJ Lee gets her first WM victory with the odds stacked against her in the midst of a near 300 day reign and Sheamus... is getting tossed in the mid-show battle royal. Fate's a strange thing.

Fate's a strange thing. Mania 28 in general is bizarre to look back at all of a sudden. Besides all that... Kane went from beating Orton while wearing the mask to being without the mask and being completely squashed, Orton went from losing decisively to Kane to being in the main event and not even being the one to take the fall, Big Show and Cody Rhodes went from having an actual feud with a decent build to being in a throwaway battle royal together, of the three Divas in the women's tag match none of them are still in the company, for all Triple H and Shawn Michaels threw at him Undertaker was beaten, Triple H went from being in a huge match with over a year's worth of a build where he was portrayed as a dominant hero to being a hypocritical asshole who lost in the opening match entirely to prop up an angle in the main event, neither Laurinaitis or Teddy Long ever really appears at all anymore, Jericho and Punk are both gone, Cena was in a midcard match with someone who hasn't been on the roster for a year yet, and Rock just showed up in the opening segment unannounced.

It was cool to see a show where aside from one outcome, all the younger, fresher talent went over their opponents.
All in all, I liked this show. I don't think I can really rate it just now. I'll need to let a few things sink in first *coughStreakEndingcough* before I can really judge it.
Also every match felt like it got enough (and in a few cases too much) time. So it was nice to see them finally get the time management down pat.

This was my favorite Mania since the one where Eddie and Benoit won (though Benoit's later atrocities soured that one a bit for me). It really told a story well.

Did they not do a Post Mania Network show? I just thought to try and find it on the Network but I cannot find one.

I enjoyed the show up until Taker losing. After that, i just couldnt get into anything else. Love Taker, loved his streak, stunned it has come to an end.

LOVED it all. Without a doubt a DVD purchase, probably even pre order. The event made me excited to go to my first Mania next year, it has be wanting to be September already so I want to get the travel package booked!!!
A truly breathtaking event. Loved all the matches
It shows how talented Bryan is to bring a shocked and stunned crowd (exactly like my house was) to a 100% investment by the end of the triple threat as well. Great booking with all the false finishers

No. I think they went right to a new Countdown episode. Well shit. That would have been an awesome show. Would have love to have heard the reactions of Foley and HBK to the end of the Streak and Bryan winning.

Bray Wyatt isn't hurt for losing his first big match. This guy has steam rolled and even beat Bryan clean. If he can't shake off 1 lost, than he wasn't going to have much of a future anyways.

I need to post this again. One of the greatest fan made tributes ever. THIS is how and why much the guy deserved all of this. This is his legacy in wrestling even before he had his third and current run in WWE (counting his developmental deal in 01). THIS is his extremely humble beginning in NXT. This is how he built a relationship with the audience ever since Cole/Miz told him he "wasn't good enough to be here" and that "he had no heart". It's worth the time as it truly gives clarity as to what he has accomplished. He makes me want to work even harder, keep my nose clean, get to work on time, kick major ass and eventually, maybe (just maybe, as cheesy as it sounds) I might just get everything I ever wanted and hoped for. Ladies and Gentlemen. Dragon: The Daniel Bryan Story www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BWq1NkzaasvEnjoy! and another great tribute www.youtube.com/watch?v=dESRbne4TOU
