Shouldn't the women in question automatically be assumed they can handle the physical toll? I mean, they'd be put on the teams so I'm sure they'd have to be.
Which would be a rare thing anyway 'cause it ain't like normally dudes is physically equipped to play the NFL professionally either, so... I really don't see why not. The only problem I see is that when you put a woman (because I bet it's going to be just one) on the team, that woman better be eight times the playmaker any dude in her position is, otherwise you're gonna have a bunch of fans swearing women in general just don't belong despite the fact she'd be playing about as well as the average dude in her position.
Then again, that's the fans' problem not the player.

Yes of course a woman should be allowed to play professional football..There was a girl kicker at a local college who I thought was good enough to get looked at by an NFL team, but it never happened.
I think Cheyrl Miller should have had a chance at the NBA too.

So I played tennis is college, I was a pretty good player, but not good enough to play on the tour. A lot of women pros came to our college, and practices with us guys, and most of my friends could beat the top women players. I used to practice with women pro players that were in the top 20 on the WTA tour, and take sets off them routinely. Does this mean I can apply for the WTA tour and play with women?

If they could play at that level sure, but she'd have to be one genetic freak of a woman. That's not sexism, that's just genetic fact.
That said, if there's a woman that's physically capable of doing it, absolutely.

Only if it is a woman that wins the genetic lottery to get a body that puts her on a level playing field. Otherwise? Hell no.

Now I remember a controversy from some time ago here in my country about a transgender tennis player who wanted to play against womens.
Besides the obvious cases of homophobia, some people wandered if she was at the same level or above the other players who were born biologically as women.
Still, is funny, when we are kids both genders could play games without problems, but later they are separeted, it will be cool to see an sport where both genders could play without dragging out the competitive aspect of it (some sports are better for men, and others for women)

No. Some linebacker will cripple them to make a point.
I'm all for equality, but why on Earth would a lady want such a thing for herself? This ain't polo. Some of these guys are complete degenerates that don't exactly have the most evolved views on females. It's an awful, awful idea imo.

Of course they should allow women in the NFL. Someone has to dress up in those cute little skirts and wave the poms poms around.

I will say this. The US national womens soccer team could probably beat any mens team in a soccer match. The women play the game so much better and tougher than most males do.

They allow Women in NASCAR So why not? There's a difference between Nascar and Football. True. The ratio of actually using one's feet as a part of the sport, for example.

Could I join the Wnba or not since their is a male equivalent? when I was in high school they let a girl on our wrestling team (she was terrible). But I'd bet if I wanted on the volleyball I'd be turned away. I'd be very interested to see some examples of something like this. I mean if a guy can't perform on the same athletic level as men, but can for women - should he be allowed to play on a predominatly female team? In middle school they let a few of us guys on the girls volleyball team A few parents threw fits and made it we could only have two guys on the court at once

Im not a big NFL fan or know to much about it but is there an actual womens NFL league for them to play and compete in? I do agree that if they are up to the phsyical aspect of it, they should be given a shot. Not NFL level but www.iwflsports.com/Its Sloppier than 4A level football.

Madison Blaze is totally a wrestling name. Baltimore Nighthawks? Really? At least none of the Carolina teams called themselves something like Carolina Big Cats. And California Quake? Really? It's like the Ultimate Frisbee episode of Cheap Seats where multiple teams named themselves after tragedies. Oh my Zod, there's a Phoenix PhantomZ. The "z" craze is dead (never should have started in the first place), let it stay dead, and you don't need to capitalize the final letter.

I will say this. The US national womens soccer team could probably beat any mens team in a soccer match. The women play the game so much better and tougher than most males do. While they might be a match for some teams, saying they could beat "any mens team" is definitely a huge stretch. Granted, I don't follow women's soccer, but based on YouTube highlights, the difference in the level of competition is way obvious. They might be, and probably are technically superior to many men's teams, but the physical side of the game is equally important, and that's where they are lacking. If anything, I would say soccer would have been a more likely candidate than the NFL for a "Should women be allowed to participate?" debate, since you don't have to be a genetic freak of nature to be a soccer player. So I assume (and could be wrong) that the reason there hasn't been much, if any, experimentation with women playing with men in soccer is that they just can't make it. On the general topic, I agree that women should be allowed to play as long as they are good enough, but the bigger concerns would be whether society accepts it. As long as the "man should never ever lay a hand on woman" way of thinking persists, that rules out all contact sports.

We'd probably be talking about a one in a million situation where they have the size and muscle structure to be able to handle a skill position. Welter playing was fine, and she's obviously tough as nails, but she did get plastered on both of her runs for losses, largely because she's much smaller than the defenders. Biologically, there's just a lot different between the build of an athletic woman and an athletic man. You'd almost need someone with the natural build of a female powerlifter to stand a shot.

Same thing I say when people ask if women should be in the army, or firefighters, or any male dominated enterprise. Can they match the physical requirements? If so then all is good.
Only question is are those requirements strict because of the nature of the job or strict so only men can fill them. Sexism is rampant in certain jobs so the question must be asked.

About the only position I can realistically see is kicker, but if a woman is good enough she should certainly get the opportunity.

I say yes why not, though only on the provision that there are no all male or all female leagues/sports/teams etc.
