Ziggler looked worn out on Smackdown. The guys good but I think he's gone as far as he can with the limiting gimmick/name. Let him have some time off and come back with something different, it's just not working. The gimmick is fine. The problem is WWE booking, as it usually is.

Hey you guys remember that time Lawler said the crowd was chanting for Sheamus when they were really chanting for Dolph? Just wanted to remind you all.

Speaking of Strange smackdown editing, I watched the german feed of Smackdown this week and at the end of the ziggler batista match, when Batista won as his music was playing the sound was suddenly cut from the sound in the arena to just a copy of batista's music playing, no commentary, no crowd noise while Batista was still shown in the ring celebrating. Anyone have any idea why this would happened, i can't be because of the boos as he is now playing the heel. Were the crowd chanting something innapropriate???

I don't have an answer as to why they do it, but they sometimes do this during Superstars as well during a person's entrance. They'll randomly cut to a shot of the crowd from a completely different side of the arena, and the commentary will go dead for about 15-20 seconds.

I can't get on board with this being work. He's trying to gain support by bitching about a favorable reaction getting edited, when instead they could've just not edited the reaction and show that he's already getting support. It makes zero sense, in fact it makes negative sense. More people watch Smackdown than read his twitter account. Yeah, it'd be completely sensible for everything you said to be true. ...but this is WWE. They also thought having Batista coming back and winning the Rumble was a good idea. In reality, I think it's a work simply because this isn't his first rodeo. He's tweeted 50 similar things in the past, probably more. If WWE didn't like it, they would have told him to stop. It's not like they haven't seen it. It's somewhere in between. WWE will do what they do, but if people want to bitch about it but do so in a certain way that stirs the pot, they welcome it. That's probably what led to the CM Punk ramp promo actually (and yes I know that was a full work). "You can bitch, just do it in a way that makes people interested" That is truly "the new kayfabe"

When he is getting Cobra'ed on Superstars in a few weeks that will also be part of the long plan.

"You can bitch, just do it in a way that makes people interested" That is truly "the new kayfabe" I think it's more "go ahead and bitch, see what keeps happening." They're just continuing to give him enough rope to hang himself with. I get what you mean about the Punk promo, but in this instance, people are saying that it's this grand plan by WWE to edit a chant and have the wrestler complain about it online, and I just can't see that being the case. That's Bond-villain levels of needlessly complicated, maniuplation for maniuplation's sake. If it is a work, at least Ziggler has to realize that he's gaining nothing from it. It's preaching to the choir, people that read his twitter already feel one way or the other about him being "held back" or what have you. Editing a reaction that reaches more casual fans for the sake of messing with the diehards is too dumb. I can't combat your point that "well, it is WWE" though. As we've seen, like in your example about Batista, seeing the forest for the trees is not their strong suit.

It's when they're editing out sponsors for the overseas airings, when Cole or whoever is like "LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, TONIGHT, SMACKDOWN IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY CASTROL GTX!" or whathaveyou.

Ziggler still isnt over hence why they were chanting for Sheamus instead of him. He got a great reaction once.

As much as everyone likes to assume HHH blindly buries everyone and he's the Big Bad Wolf blah blah blah, I think if I was even Jane Geddes or somebody below her, I would see a pattern of behaviour in what seems like unflinching arrogance in the Nemeth family. Dolph's brother runs his mouth non-stop with an attitude about being fired. Like, jesus christ kid, shut the f*** up already. You didn't make it. You're one of hundreds every year. Boo hoo, cry in your pie. Let it go and stop blaming WWE for your shortcomings.
And Dolph can sometimes be the same way. "If I'm not at the top, that MUST mean I'm being treated like total shit and therefore, the company sucks." Dolph, I like you... but stop bitching every hour of the day. Thanks.

But Dolph actually has a reason to complain, even when he was WHC, He was made to look like a bitch and jobbed most of the time.

Is he entitled to the strap? We know what we see on TV. Neither you or I have ANY clue what he's like behind-the-scenes. But we know he complains NON-stop publicly. And last I checked, kayfabe or not, that doesn't make a hero look like a champ. It makes him look like a chump.

How far would you push Ziggler? The WHC apparently wasn't enough, because he wasn't dominant enough. So apparently he has to be a dominant unidisputed champion. So would you book him higher than Bryan and Punk and Cena?

I would book him to be on equal footing with those three. He didn't need to be endlessly jobbed out. I think he had a pretty secure 4th or 5th spot from the top/occasional main event type role but it wasn't enough for him, and I think he might have pissed it away. There is so much talent in the WWE now. It's a good problem to have, but there has to be main event talent in the midcard at times, there's just too many guys for not enough spots. There's about 10-15 guys in the company who are viewed as generally underpushed by the board. I think there's one guy, Batista, who is generally viewed as overpushed. The math just doesn't work. Even if Ziggler WERE on even footing with the top 5 or so guys (which he was at one time), that still involves a lot of midcard feuds. I don't think he or his hardest core fans could handle that, he kept throwing fits, and here he is.

Honestly have no clue what you're talking about when you say Ziggler "wasn't dominant enough." After winning the belt, he suffered a concussion and was on the shelf for several weeks. And of course I wouldn't book him higher than Punk or Bryan. He's never come close to being as popular as either of them.
