Is this legit Ziggler pissed? Or just playing up to his current 'I am being held down' character? Kayfabe is rife on twitter too these days.

Ziggler looked worn out on Smackdown. The guys good but I think he's gone as far as he can with the limiting gimmick/name.
Let him have some time off and come back with something different, it's just not working.

Yeah, it really is the worst name ever in pro wrestling. Reminds me off that guy from Boogie Nights.
heck, even call him Flash Gordon would be better.

^ I think that was the point. Honestly both Dolph and Zack Ryder are looking really burnt out from what I've seen lately. Considering how much they've been tossed around the card in the past year despite crowd reactions I wouldn't be surprised to see either of them ask for their release this year.

Very odd thing to do if they were going to turn Batista heel anyway.
Dolph Ziggler is definitely going nowhere at this point. I remember being excited about his future, but its clear that he will be stuck doing what he is doing until he gains some mass or diversifies his character.

Pretty much. I'll believe a Hulk Hogan Tall Tale before I trust a tweet.

I watched SmackDown only because I read about Ziggler confronting Batista. This is just lame and definitely the last time I watch SmackDown.

Considering they've acknowledged that the fans hate Batista, this is all part of Dolph's current character.
They can explain it that Trips is embarrassed that his guy (Batista goes full heel, Orton goes tweener, and Bryan becomes the conquering hero), is so heavily hated. He's doing anything and everything to make himself and Batista look good, in spite of the fans rejecting Batista.

If the tweet isn't erased, then yeah is kayfabe lol
I hadn't watched smackdown, they tried to portray batista as "I don't care what people say, this is who I am" face, or a full heel?

I was at the taping but I don't remember any massive Ziggler chants happening in the first place.

Part of his new persona he is working on is that he is unhappy about the direction his character is going in and how his character is treated on TV. It is all very Meta.

Him and his fellow Cleveland native, The Miz, are doing the same thing. Plays into their rumored tag team alliance.

I can't think of anyone the fans have so openly rejected like they have Batista as a returning face.
Maybe CM Punk's last heel turn.

I can't think of anyone the fans have so openly rejected like they have Batista as a returning face. Maybe CM Punk's last heel turn. CM Punk doesn't count. He's CM Punk. If he grabbed a mic, yelled "HEIL HITLER!" and goose-stepped to the ring, there'd suddenly be hundreds of thousands of people joining Nazi Parties worldwide. You could put almost anyone in Batista's shoes and the response would be really bad. Although Batista's one of the worst choices they could've made if they wanted him to work as a face because of how badly over the hill he is. About Ziggler, though I think this is kayfabe as heck, I think you can put some of the blame on his lack of a face push on his huge emphasis on selling moves. Guys like him, Matt Hardy, Morrison, Borne, Ryder, all good sellers and all guys who aren't/weren't allowed to progress up the card. There's a reason a guy like Cesaro is getting pushed big, and it's partly because while his selling is good, his wrestling is all about the offense. He makes crowds pop big for the big moves that he pulls out. And a guy who gets cheered for connecting his moves is really conducive to being a high-level face. Same can be said for Bryan, really. He just has a great main eventer ring style for a face. Ziggle has good offense but it's nothing spectacular, while his selling is notoriously crazy. He's a guy who's playing to him not getting elevated much.
