I think its more likely that Hulk Hogan wins the title than this match happening

The 3 way, there isn't proper time to build towards it, and honestly, I kind of like them as faces. No need to f*** that up yet. They've been teasing a Shield breakup for months. The Shield just started their feud with Kane this week. Which one has had more time to build up?

The Shield just started their feud with Kane this week. Which one has had more time to build up? This match, actually, in a matter of speaking, because of the many issues the Shield has had with the Authority before they've had it. Yeah, a breakup will happen, and when it does, it will be a big match, but them as faces seems like the aim right now, and it's going to be something the crowd has wanted to do for like a year, get behind them as a face group. While it sounds like "man, look at this asshole" when I say the build hasn't been long enough, I'm sure, I mean that a match this big should have been announced already if that was the aim, and the reconciliation promo shouldn't have happened, but it did, and the announcement didn't, so if Trips just came out and said "All three of you, fight for the US title", it'd come across as contrived and stupid. It doesn't even work as punishment, because he would still be letting one of them keep the belt.

I'd rather have Shield vs Kane/Wyatt Family
Make it as if Kane done a deal with the 'devil' and bring out the Family whilst The Shield is defying order that the Authority laid out for them. That way it serves the Shield to have their face time and get revenge against the family.
Kinda sucked they ditched the split but I wouldn't mind going this route too.

Why is everyone wanting the Shield match at Mania? Moments are worth more than matches, have Ambrose and Reigns after the match finally get it on. Also having Kane become more of a manager is a perfect fit for him currently.

The shield needs a face run since I think that there is still good money if they turned.
Maybe I'm on the minority, but I will like to see the return of the 3 man championship, at least the wwe loves 3 man teams and they could still create some more teams.
I know, they can't properly build a tag division, but ces't la vie

Ah, like maybe borrowing Luke and Harper from Bray? Exactly, They don't get along with the Shield just as much as Kane. They can probably still be used for Bray/Cena match up too, but I wouldn't want to see them wasted for just the Battle Royale.

I L0VE the idea of Kane/Harper/Rowan vs Shield
It would be guaranteed to be a better match, would continue Shield/Wyatts while still being a constellation prize for not getting Shield vs Entire Wyatt Family III at Mania, gives Kane a Mania match, makes sense in the Authority/Shield angle as well that they have been hinting at for months, they could still Shield breakup after the match on the night if they so choose.
Hell make it NODQ/Extreme Rules Tornado Tag
Perfect!

Kane/Wyatts vs Shield makes so much sense that it'll never happen.

Ugh, the Ascension suuuuucks. That'll be how they bring them up, Kane's hand-chosen replacements for the Shield as the Authority's hired guns.

I'd bet more on Kane vs Rollins.
Ambrose vs someone for that thing around his waist.
Then Reigns get some big hits in the Rumble match.

Kane/Wyatts vs Shield makes so much sense that it'll never happen. Rowan and Harper will probably be ringside for the Bray/Cena match. So it's better that those two extra spots in a six man tag go to someone else, even if we're stuck with the Ascension.

i'm actually surprised how much they've cooled off on Reigns. it's not that he's getting a big match or something, but they're not putting him over in commentary as they used to.

Anyone else notice how the "ROMAN REIGNS IS THE MOST AWESOME MAN ALIVE ESPECIALLY COMPARED TO THOSE OTHER TWO SHIELD LOSERS" stuff dropped off right after his terrible match with Bray Wyatt? I think the breakup's being delayed until the pet project can put on non-embarassing singles matches even against guys who aren't doing everything in their power to keep him looking good. Though Ambrose is such a natural heel I still think it may end up as Reigns & Rollins vs. Kane & Ambrose, with Dean betraying the other two because he prefers the security of being an Authority flunkie. Bingo, Reigns has the big spots down and he can go in short spurts when he's being showcased, but for longer matches he ain't ready yet. And really, as much as I like Bray Wyatt, that wasn't the best match to try to showcase Reigns in either. Don't get me wrong, Reigns has improved a lot since being paired with Rollins and Ambrose, but he just isn't quite there yet. As for the rumored match, Kane hinted earlier in the night that if they didn't listen to him they'd see how replaceable they were. They could either go with Rowan and Harper, or The Ascension (who really aren't terrible. The issue is Viktor is not as good as Kenneth Cameron was). Or I guess they could add Rusev and pick some random wrestler to join Kane.

They're not going to do that, because no one knows who the Ascension is. I've never heard of them until this thread.
