- WWE is considering a 6-man tag match at WrestleMania featuring The Shield vs. Kane and NXT Tag Team Champions The Ascension, according to a report by Justin LaBar at Triblive.com.
Well I guess it's better than a split?

I can think of worse, I'd be OK with this if this were to come true. Though a 3-way match for the US title is really the dream Mania match in my mind.

What if it was The Shield against Kane and The Real Americans, leading to The Shield winning and Cesaro departing the group by giving the big swing to Zeb and/or Kane?

The 3 way, there isn't proper time to build towards it, and honestly, I kind of like them as faces. No need to f*** that up yet.
I feel like at this point, the Shield could make a 6 man tag with anyone good. They know the formula by now, and it isn't like Kane is some slouch, so his tag partners could be Wallace and Grommit and it'd be a good match.

I don't believe this at all. The split has been building for a while. The obvious match is Ambrose defending the U.S. Title against Rollins and Reigns in a triple threat match.

I know The Ascension isn't everyone's cup of tea, but the two of them as Kane's followers just feels right.

I think I'll cry if an Ascension member pins one of The Shield at WM.

Rather break up the Shield than have them face those Mortal Kombat douches.

The Ascension's gimmick fits perfectly with Kane's. Honestly, if it's said they're related to Kane and Taker I'm not going to be shocked. The gimmick works. Kane can say he's found 2 guys that remind him of himself as a kid and put them over.
With that said the 3-way WM match is the way to go. It's perfect.

They've dropped that on Smackdown and start building to them vs. the Authority/Kane. Much better as they can do some great stuff as faces. I know The Ascension isn't everyone's cup of tea, but the two of them as Kane's followers just feels right. That is true, they would fit in with Kane and maybe he could rub off on them in the ring. I just don't like the idea of them at Mania over guys like Dallas, Zayn, Neville, Paige, Emma, and even Graves. All are far and away better than the Ascension, IMO and more ready for that spot.

I'm going to spoiler this. {Spoiler}Reading the Smackdown spoilers, I can believe it since they seem to going more in the direction of "The Shield is sick of the Authority, Kane included, bossing them around" than where they were headed. I'm okay with this because that's really what should happen. These mercenaries shouldn't be gladly taking orders from the Man. They could even go with "Yeah, we felt the Shield was weaker recently...and we realized it's because we let the Authority take away our identities." It even makes sense to put Konnor and Viktor with Kane since they're all dark characters with a somewhat mystical edge.

They probably just want to give Kane some lackeys, so really, that spot is pretty much on par with the Bashams. Filler tag muscle.

Going from facing Randy Orton, The Big Show and Sheamus at Mania to facing a 46 year old Kane and NXT's crappy tag team.

I'd think it would be a good match. Highly doubt it happens though. Maybe they want to hold off on the Shield breakup to test them out a faces/tweeners or to milk some more money from their merch (which there probably isn't a lot of but it's a possibility)
