Even as a fan of Sheamus I forgot he faced HHH at WM.

His match with Daniel Bryan at WM 28 was pretty high-profile, just not the way they were intending.

What has he done to deserve one? He's over, but not a huge star.

Well, he's right. He wasn't even on the card at 27. He wrestled for 18 seconds at 28. He was arguably the least important person in a six man tag at 29. That match with HHH wasn't great or anything but it's the only time he's really had a chance to shine.

What has he done to deserve one? He's over, but not a huge star. Both Sheamus & Bryan have mentioned how disappointing it was to not actually wrestle a full match on the main card of Wrestlemania against each other, in kayfabe terms it was quite big, but in actual showmanship & professionalism I can see why they'd be disappointed. Considering the matches they had after WM28 you can see why, they were custom made to batter seven shades of pro-wrestling out of one another.

I think he's trying to angle for the "Edge/CM Punk" way of moving up the card.
Stay consistent, don't mess up, be a team player, wait for someone to f*** up, slide into their spot.

Its weird in that it seems that the WWE wants its wrestlers to be gunning for the top slot or at least moving up the card but they don't want you to be too vocal about it. Or call them idiots nobody likes that either.

The idea of Sheamus moving back into a position to main event Wrestlemania chills me to the core.

Not even going to lie, I'd forgotten about that match too. Wow. I remember it for the fact that leading up to it HHH brought up his match with The Ultimate Warrior.

I love watching Sheamus wrestle but his character has to evolve a little bit if he's going to get pushed hard.
If Happy Dickhead Face Sheamus is going to remain our only option, no thanks.

I can easily see a major ass-kicking heel Sheamus be the top heel of WM31. Sheamus is underrated as a wrestler, on the mic and overall in general. If anything I'd say his character is being held back because of creative rather than anything he's done. He was an amazing badass when he turned face and his WHC run was pretty nice. He's improved a lot these past years. He can hold himself up in the ring too.
With that said, he's due for a heel turn. Give me a heel Sheamus as the Authority's handpicked star, a badass ass-kicking heel Sheamus, we're good.
Not a wimpy running heel, a bad-ass no-nonsense heel.
