There are 18 stars on the front plate of the WWE Intercontinental Championship belt. Is there a significance to that number? Like, does it represent anything specifically? Probably not. --------------- There were 36 episodes of "Saturday Night's Main Event" and 5 episodes of "The Main Event"

Interesting-I know that's all that was televised, but was that really all they did in each arena? Did they have any dark matches?

Interesting-I know that's all that was televised, but was that really all they did in each arena? Did they have any dark matches? They would lower big screens down to show the other portions of the event that were in the other two arenas. Since this was essentially what you had to do anyway to see WrestleMania at the time, I'm sure fans didn't mind it since they got to see some wrestling live and the rest of the show how they would watch it normally anyway

The Pontiac Silverdome, site of Wrestlemania III, is now an abandoned derelict shell of a building.

The first person to raise both the WWF/E and WCW/World championship belts above their heads was NOT Chris Jericho.
Ric Flair, 1991. After a rookie Undertaker attacked Hulk Hogan during Flair's faceoff with the Hulkster, Hogan's belt flew off the stage of the Funeral Parlor. Flair went off-screen to pick it up amd then rose both belts above his head for all of 2 seconds on-screen, before Piper & Savage ran in with chairs.
Also of note is that Flair scurried to hide behind Taker (of course) and Taker did the universal arm movement for "YOU stay behind me, I'll handle this" and then proceeded to not give a crap as both men blasted him with chairs.

Ric Flair's record at Starrcade Won - 7 Lost - 4 Drawn - 1 That's actually pretty darn good. . . . In the past 5 years of WrestleMania, only 2 new men have been in the Main Event match. One of them was The Miz.

The last time John Cena won a match at SummerSlam was in 2010. Its also the last SummerSlam that he didn't wrestle for the WWE title.

Kind of bumping, but for a newer obscure fact:
-Hell in a Cell 2014 is the first WWE Pay-Per-View event where the wrestlers competing in the main event were not alive when Wrestlemania I happened.

Summerslam 89 harts are facing brainbusters in a non title match. Ventura says if the harts lose it would probably be another year before they get another title match
One year later, summerslam 90 the hart foundation are facing demolition for the tag titles...
