Hugh Jackman Feels Like He Should Never Stop Playing WOLVERINE I love Hugh Jackman. He's happy to be this iconic character and owns it. Other actors try so hard to shake the superhero thing and move on as fast as possible. Also Old Man Logan would be awesome to see.

How about integrating the costumes already. Every other superhero franchise has embraced the costumes except X-Men who I think have some of the coolest in comics. I'd love them to use Wolverine's X-force costume. I love it

One of the first things that came out was NO YELLOW SPANDEX!!! I believe they did this because of how campy it may have been on film and the trend for absolute realism in movies at that time. They even told a joke about it in the first X-Men film. Comic movies were an unknown at the time for investors. X-Men hit, Lord of the Rings dropped the next yr and wham, fantasy and scifi was main stream. That said I think you could get it done now. Look at First Class. They did some slightly over the top uniformage

They did some slightly over the top uniformage That decision was probably a reaction to Batman and Forever/Batman and Robin where the costumes were more outlandish and actors like Val Kilmer dismissed the comic characters as just silly guys in silly costumes. To give Bryan Singer a lot of credit, he didn't want a toy commercial, he wanted a movie with a story and characterization and didn't want the movie dismissed because of costumes. I remember he also said he felt that costumes would undermine the themes on civil and human rights by making it too "superhero". X-Men always did a good job of straddling the line between two worlds and I think being superheroes and in costumes is very important to the characters and story. It's not just two sides against each other, X-Men want to save people.

According to Variety, British actor Ben Hardy -- best known for his work on the BBC soap opera "EastEnders" -- has been cast in Fox's "X-Men: Apocalypse" film.
Though his role is as-of-yet unknown, Variety's sources report that Hardy will play a significant part in the "X-Men" universe.
Recently, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan and Alexandra Shipp were cast as younger versions of Jean Grey, Cyclops and Storm, respectively. Considering his appearance and the casting of the other original five X-Men (Nicholas Hoult is slated to return as Beast), it's possible that the 24-year-old actor could play Warren Worthington III, better known as Angel.
James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender will also return to the franchise as Professor X, Mystique and Magneto.

I like X Men movies because they are seperate from the completely bewildering and incomprehensible Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As much as I like Jennifer Lawrence , I'm glad this is her last one. I did not like her version of Mystique one bit.

I like X Men movies because they are seperate from the completely bewildering and incomprehensible Marvel Cinematic Universe. The MCU is a lot of things, but bewildering and incomprehensible is probably way down on the list of words I'd choose to describe it. Personally, I think it's a little too simplistic compared to something like the Star Wars Universe (pre-EU decanonisation) or the Star Trek Universe.

I, for one, was completely confused when watching the Avengers. How so?Just curious.

I noticed the lack of Emma Peel and John Steed. An Avengers movie without the two main characters just can't function. Instead, it had a bunch of superheroes in it. Like, what the hell? I took the bait

Then I do not believe I understand your opinion They are too interconnected for my liking. Miss a couple of the movies (which is possible if one only prefers certain characters) and the whole thing can become confusing. For example, I loved the first Captain America movie, but I just couldn't watch the second film because it introduced so many elements from the other MCU movies which I hadn't seen which is why I think X Men is better as a series for not being connected to the wider universe.

I don't remember anything really being mentioned in Captain America 2 that wasn't in the original Captain America movie (or introduced in Cap 2) save for Black Widow.
My brother and father saw it with me and had no problem following what was going on and they haven't seen all of the movies either.
Not to mention the X-men series is notorious for randomly changing stuff they've established from movie to movie.

My wife "watched" the first Captain America movie with me. She was able to understand what was going on without any issues when we watched The Winter Soldier. I think she's only seen parts of The Avengers and the other movies.
Also I'd like to say, I'm incredibly sad that Jennifer Lawrence is done after Apocalypse.
