I don't remember anything really being mentioned in Captain America 2 that wasn't in the original Captain America movie (or introduced in Cap 2) save for Black Widow. My brother and father saw it with me and had no problem following what was going on and they haven't seen all of the movies either. Not to mention the X-men series is notorious for randomly changing stuff they've established from movie to movie. X Men isn't as affected by changes within it, because you can basically treat each movie or trilogy as self-contained. If they crossed over with Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, etc....it'd be far more convoluted. If people can keep track of the MCU, that's great. Personally I find it overly integrated.

I like X Men movies because they are seperate from the completely bewildering and incomprehensible Marvel Cinematic Universe. how? watch the films in order and its fine. hell you dont even need to watch them all and its fine I'd argue that X-men/Wolverine is much harder to follow

My crush on Jennifer Lawrence started with X-Men: First Class, so that sucks to hear she's leaving after Apocalypse. I always liked her performance as Mystique and felt it was much better in Days of Future Past.
Having said that, I can imagine putting on all that makeup would be a pain in the ass. I believe she insisted on wearing a body suit instead of going the make up route in DOFP because she suffered an allergic reaction to the make up.

Winter Solider and Agents of SHIELD aside, I've found much of Phase II pretty underwhelming.
I recognize that I'm in a minority though.

According to Latino-Review's @umbertogonzalez, the movie will feature cameos from Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, Halle Berry's Storm, and Channing Tatum as Gambit."

I must be the only m to in lol of x-men fandom who doesn't mind her as Storm. Someone else could have done it differently? Yeah like everyone else would do it differently. That is acting. She was wooden? Perhaps so. I didn't think so (those were common things I have read or heard people say of her Storm). If you don't like her as Storm than that's cool, I just never had a problem with her or her performance. I myself didn't care for James. Mars den as Cyclops but then again I never cared for Cyclops.

instagram.com/p/0qVuAKxDxJ/Lana Condor has been cast as Jubilee. This is turning into the mid-90s X-Men series at this point with all these mutants!

Now this movie needs to start with the following PREVIOUSLY ON X-MEN Bishop: X-Men are the assassins. Wolverine: Jean! Apocalypse: The most important move of all, the capture of the king, Professor Charles Xavier! *X-Men Theme* Edit* Hopefully they give her lines and character unlike the cameos in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

So we have Cyclops, Storm, Jean, Gambit, Nightcrawler, Jubilee, Professor X, and of course Wolverine. This is probably the best roster of an X-Men film to date.

Yeah Nicholas Hoult is coming back for a third go-around. He says Apocalypse is the last film he's contracted for but unlike Jennifer Lawrence he's open to doing more.
