Shame about Oliver Grey. Always like to see a local guy make it. They do still have Stuart Tomlinson on the books, so there's at least one Brit still about. He's the ex-footballer isn't he? Could have potential. Also, I can't get over how happy Mason looks in that GIF. It's my new favourite thing, I've been playing various songs behind it, everything goes, particularly Fandango's theme. And shame about the Swedish gal, I thought she had potential to be the next "monster" Diva.

I'm not so much shocked that Mason Ryan is gone as I am that it took this long to do it. That said, I question the rationale behind them hiring Shauly back just to drop her again inside of about six months. I feel like there's more to that story.
That said, I audibly sigh at WWE letting another string of releases get past them without Rosa getting the boot. And it happens the week she gets a new finisher, no less!

Mason Ryan, released.
Danny Burch, released.
CJ parker, still employed.
Okay so it's not quite on the Tupac/Biggie/Vanilla Ice level. It's more like 3 Vanilla Ices.

With Shaul it had to be request. She's only 23, and probably wanted to finish college.

I'm surprised about Shaul/Raquel, she's been released twice now in a couple of years and they usually try their hardest to have second generation wrestlers make it, I guess it could be behavioral or injury related. With Zeke being let go Mason doesn't surprise me, he was getting better on NXT but they have enough big men on the roster now who are just like him, maybe in an alternate universe he would have been a good bodyguard or tag partner to a more savvy wrestler. I don't think Grey got much of a chance, he had a push before his injury as Adrian Neville's tag partner, but he just returned from that injury and lost to Camacho, he could've at least been a midcarder or jobber on NXT for a while and they could've experimented with his gimmick a bit more. They have so many non-factors that have been there for years and done nothing like Jason Jordon and Sawyer Fulton, I remember them on the FCW website and have yet to see them on TV in a non-jobber role. Jason Jordan actually faced Sawyer Fulton in a tag team match on NXT a few weeks ago. Fulton teamed with Baron Corbin and Jordan with Tye Dillinger/Gavin Spears with Jordan and Dillinger getting the win. So I think they may finally be doing something with Jordan at least.

So, since he's no longer under contract, should we start calling him...a Freemason?

I bet Mason Ryan regrets not partnering up with Sylvester LeFort now.

With Shaul it had to be request. She's only 23, and probably wanted to finish college. It's possible, but considering they just signed her back late last year, I would've assumed she was either done with school or had officially banked on wrestling. Plus, if she had requested her release, they probably would've put it in the initial report like they did for Sarah Backman.

Danny Burch already has a booking - he's back with Revolution Pro Wrestling on May 10th in Birmingham in his old Martin Stone gimmick.

www.pwmania.com/mason-ryan-issues-statement-after-being-released-from-wwe-contractFormer WWE NXT talent Mason Ryan tweeted the following about his WWE departure: “After four great years with the WWE, as of today I am no longer with the company. I enjoyed every second of my time there, met some great people and got to entertain audiences all over the world! I am very thankful for the opportunity I was given, but now I move on to another chapter of my life. I’m going to work as hard and have the same hunger and attitude I always have, which is the desire to be the very best! This definitely isn’t the end, in fact it’s just a new beginning and I look forward to the future and all that it brings! I am still going to be wrestling, and I’m available for shows and conventions, please contact me at welsh.warrior@outlook.com for any bookings. Thank you everyone for the support!”
