It's a good thing WWE Superstars are rich enough to afford such a measly fine like that.

Makes the 100k Batista was fined seem ridiculous

So in hindsight, Kaitlyn's 10 grand fine for slapping a ref was mere chump change.

Didn't Sheamus get fined the same thing on TV for something odd, and then he said he'd go out for a pint that night.

Wasn't there a Mark Henry fine too when he attack the sound or pyro guy that one time?

Y'know, I kinda think the point was that it was a significant fine. Which they earned by invading matches and attacking non-wrestling personnel.

There's really no way for us to grasp just how significant the fine is though. It's why I don't think fines work as a form of comeuppance or sympathy garnering.

And then HHH fired Awesome Truth anyway. What a jerk.

I think monetary fines work in WWE, like when DEMON KANE was fined an undisclosed amount for beating up Josh.

Nowadays people just whip the Miz's ass if he ran in. That whole badass Miz era was good comedy.

The problem is no one in any major sport gets fine anything close to that. Football players with history of dirty hits at most gets fined 50k outside of game checks. So Miz and R Truth getting 500k is just stupid

I still remember going to a house show in 1993 where the Nasty Boys and the Headshrinkers both got DQ'd and wouldn't stop fighting. an official came out from the back and told the referee that if they didn't stop fighting they would be fined $5000 a piece. I was in awe of the whole thing until my dad suddenly said "Isn't that The Animal? George Steele?" and sure enough....it was George Steele in a suit as the official. It's amazing how kayfabe wasn't completely killed for me that day.

I forget which match, but Jesse and Gorilla are talking and Gorilla mentions Pat Patterson, "Jesse says, "Pat Patterson! There's a name out of the past!" Then later, Pat walks Elizabeth down to the ring and they don't acknowledge him at all.

WWE was obsessed with fines for a while, then they were obsessed with lawsuits. And then there were weekly contract signings for everything under the Sun. ...was an attorney running Creative?
