I feel that every angle since at least 2007 has started off very hot or interesting or decent...before ending by fuzzing out or with stupid conclusions.

Bret vs Vince in 2010. The idea of it was gold but got substantially worse with each passing week, ending with one of the worst Wrestlemana matches of all time.

William Regal as GM / King of the Ring was awesome. I even liked Kennedy's return, but it fizzled after Regal got suspended.

I've never heard of a feud named Kurt.

Punk vs. Cena 2011. Hands down. WWE screwed this up when the thing practically wrote itself. Hell, bringing in Nash with Del Rio winning the title was a mistake, but still somehow could have been could, and WWE ruined that too!

This might be a weird choice, but that Ahmed/Farooq feud in 1996/1997 seemed like it could be money. Those guys looked like they genuinely did not like each other.
That thing was so stilted, and then it ended up, of all things, with Ahmed turning heel. That'd be like Bret joining DX, just makes zero sense. If Ahmed would been a bit better, they could have put the belt on him for a PPV (maybe post-Sid and pre-Undertaker) and let him have a month of main event feuding with Farooq to do something with the feud. But nothing happened.

The Nexus. The initial invasion angle where they tore up the ring took six green unknown NXT guys and almost immediately made them the hottest heels in the company. The crowds were begging for the faces to rally together and fight this seemingly unbeatable fighting force.
Then the Nexus get beat in their first big match. Umm...ok. I thought that was kinda dumb but that all would be forgiven when Barrett won the title. Nope! Barrett never wins the title and ends the year (literally) being buried by Cena.

I was interested to see where Matt/Jeff would have gone...until the first promo where they put soap opera music over Matt Hardy speaking.

Edge and Matt Hardy could've been an epic blood feud. Then Matt Hardy opened his mouth. ...and stuffed some french fries in it.

The Invasion. The biggest potential moneymaking angle in pro wrestling history and the one thing that every wrestling fan most wanted to see culminates in more McMahon vs. McMahon crap with each side being represented by WWE guys.

Regal's suspension might have been the worst thing to happen to me as a WWE fan (if we're discounting deaths and other tragedies). I was so goddamn ready for a William Regal super push. It still hurts.

Well, Kane vs Jericho in 2000 would be obvious, considering Jericho spilt coffee on Kane.

Switching gears a little bit, how about feuds/angles that started off hot and STAYED hot?
WCW vs. BattleDome. Man. Epic.

It still hurts. Yeah I feel the same, regal was amazing in this time period. If it helps regal said during his stand up thing I went to watch last week that there were no plans for him to win the title so I don't know where the angle was heading. He also said that he didn't get suspended because he fell off the wagon and says we would be surprised if we knew what it was. He basically said something showed up in the results but he is not legally allowed to say what it was.

Kane & X-Pac in late '99 to early 2000.
It started off with a hot and popular tag team in a well crafted break up. They then had a match, and another match, X-Pac stole Kane's girl...had another match...and another match....jesus another match??? and then had a blowoff match at Wrestlemania in a random tag match featuring Rikishi for some reason.

I've never heard of a feud named Kurt. I've heard of an Angle named Kurt. It's a pun if you will. When I read that chocolate milk came out my nose and I proceeded to ROTFLMFAO
