The intrigue that over the hype of Dean Ambrose was off the CHARTS. From microanalyzing the feud with Mick Foley, #thanksmick, all before he even debuted, I'd be hard pressed to see a more anticipated debut from anybody to WWE. We were captivated by his promos in the indies as Jon Moxley. I was. He played his CHARACTER to a TEE. Dean Ambrose is that lone renegade character in black, almost homeless, psychotic madman screaming parosxmic conniptions. Ambrose is the symbiotic mixture of Raven, Brian Pillman, Mankind and the Joker. This is surely tailored for a BAD GUY, and the best of Dean Ambrose could have been harnessed AS A HEEL maximizing this character we ALL so hoped for before his debut. SO WHY on EARTH is Seth Rollins, who was touted as the next CM Punk/Jeff Hardy type FACE in the WWE, the heel, and not Ambrose? I get unpredictability, but quickly the SHORT-TERM shock value will wear off. Not much issue with Rollins really, as long as Dean Ambrose eventually turns. Hopefully Ambrose turns soon, because Face Ambrose doesn't compute so much, as evidenced by this thread & meme: officialfan.proboards.com/thread/498485/1000-ways-face-ambrose-relate...so WHY not Ambrose? #whynotambrose

Name the most unlikeable member of the Shield.
Yeah, that's why he's heel now.

I really wanted it to be Reigns that turned heel. Not only does he look like a better fit but I feel like he could learn a lot from hanging around Hunter and Orton. Ambrose and Rollins as the scrappy underdogs would have been a lot of fun I feel as well. I'm really enjoying Ambrose as a face so I'm glad it wasn't him, I admit his future is as a dirtbag heel but for now I'm happy they are letting it ride. Name the most unlikeable member of the Shield. Yeah, that's why he's heel now. There was actually a poll on this some time ago asking who people's favourite Shield member was and it was a pretty even three-way split, I was quite surprised.

All I've seen of Ambrose has been as a heel.
One one hand, he plays the role SO well, and him making the turn heel would have been a little too obvious, IMO.
On the other, he's transitioned to the face role with better ease than I anticipated, and like him as a face.
If nothing else, if they continue the Ambrose/Rollins war from FCW, the switch in heel/face alignment alone will make the matches seem so much fresher.

If one of them had to turn, it should have been Ambrose. He's a natural heel, while the other 2 really aren't.

Roman Reigns fits the Evolution mold perfectly, and the crowd is just dying to cheer Ambrose.
I can see why they went with Seth, though, as he needs a rub the most.

Look at Ambrose's face after Seth hits Roman with the chair and tell me he's not the most sympathetic face who ever lived.

I see Ambrose eventually settling into a sort of "lovable heel" role. He'll do enjoyably evil deeds every week and be a staple of the upper-midcard with occasional shots at the main event. Kind of like a pre-pipebomb CM Punk.
Of the three, I think Reigns would have been the guy to turn. He's the least experienced and the one who could stand to be protected the most. Plus he just looks the part better.

Rollins, to me, was the one most ready for a singles run, which may ultimately be why he was chosen to get the heel turn.

None of the above? That being said, I too enjoy Ambrose as a face, just for the fact that he's not cut from the usual face mold that WWE likes to push on us. He's not a pretty boy, he's not overmuscled, he's just there and he's amazing.

Reigns should have turned heel as there are already murmurs of discontent at how strongly he's being pushed especially in relation to his stablemates. Sadly that's a side-effect of the reality era, those perceived as having the company behind them are heels and those seen as being outside of the WWE mould are faces, WWE created that stupid dynamic so they should stick to it rather than picking and choosing when it applies.
In theory Ambrose is the ultimate outsider so should be a face, there's certainly no faces like him so he may as well occupy that niche.

In story, it makes sense that it wasn't Ambrose. Triple H has to know that while Ambrose has been nothing less than a team player for the Shield, that in any other situation he's a total wild card who has a reputation for bringing the crazy in spades. There's no way that even if Ambrose agreed to it, that Haitch could trust him for any length of time.
I think we'll see heel Ambrose down the line in a role similar to Edge but we're not going to see it for at least another year or two.

Wasn't big on any of them but Rollins fits better with Evolution than any of them. Dean is too crazy and Roman is too bent on doing things his way. Rollins is the perfect type to betray his perceived values and his "brothers" to better his way of living and working.

Really? Reigns is winning? I thought people loved him here. I mean, I think he's pushed too hard right now, but I would've went with Ambrose, because his heel turn would be awesome, but I can see a new look for Rollins making him fit with Evolution.

I'd vote no one, but that doesn't seem to be an option, so I won't vote. Why did the SHIELD have to be tampered with at all, much less to fill the gap in the Corporate Rehash left by Batista taking his basketball and going home?

I've always envisioned Seth Rollins as a Jeff Hardy type, the daredevil babyface who is willing to risk life and limb to win a match and give the fans a show. That seems tailor made for a singles face run. Hopefully his run as a heel doesn't neuter his moveset, because I still want to see him climb tall things then leap off of said tall things onto the wrestlers below.
