Still don't get the hate for the X-men tas animation. I liked how well detailed it was.
The dialogue...is kind of hit and miss. Each of the voice actors did their hardest, and it either comes off pretty cool or over the top cheesy.I liked the dialogue spoken Beast, Xavier, and Apocalypse. but then you get the cheesiness. Especially Cyclop's "NOT!" line.
I dunno, I just notice how here on FAN, the art seems to be hated more than any other place.

Spider-man too... but the censorship is really jarring now... no idea how I missed it in the original run.

The New Adventures of He-Man has aged horribly Thunder Cats has aged pretty well though I disagree, The New Adventures of He-Man has aged wonderfully. It's as forgettably mediocre today as it was when it first aired. That said I still want a Crita action figure.

Something I think is worth noting about X Men vs Batman TAS was the differences in the voice acting. Batman TAS had an all star voice cast, including several Academy Award nominated actors, and they also recorded the dialogue with the actors altogether in the sound booth so they could actually respond off each other as they were reading. With X Men, I suspect that it was done more the traditional way, with the actors recording their dialogue separate and then the recordings being mashed together in production, and it showed in scenes where characters were supposed to be arguing but their tone of voice were totally mismatched.

I will get some hate for this, I know it, but Daria. It's a great show, but it' so very 90s.

As much as I hate to say it, I've been feeling the same way about Gargoyles the last few times I've watched episodes of it. It's still a great cartoon, but whereas you could easily see how it would "speak" to a person in the 90's as a defining piece of pop culture, it just seems off to modern sensibilities.

Sylvester vs. Speedy wasn't that bad to me. DAFFY vs. Speedy, however... I was going to say Daffy, but was not 100% sure I was remembering that right. But yeah, that was from the same (brief) era of not-so-hot Looney Tunes. I even remember one short with Daffy contemplating why he's obsessed with chasing Speedy. So yeah, that era made no sense.

The New Adventures of He-Man has aged horribly Thunder Cats has aged pretty well though I don't know if it's fair to judge shows that were around for only a season or two. There hasn't enough time to get better or settle into bullshit.

Batfink was never... particularly good per-se, but the last time I watched it seemed even worse than I remember it being.

Both Beast Wars and Reboot hold up very well , and they only get better as it goes along.
Once you get past the first season and the animation moves on from looking like something made on windows 3.0 and the animation drastically improves then everything else moves along beautifull and I can still get through both shows without a problem.

There aren't too many major dramatic toons in production now aside from Korra and TMNT (I love Adventure Time, but it kicked off an irreverence trend), so that might be a factor.

I can still find an episode of Hey Arnold! on TV and sit down and enjoy it. The animation was always solid and none of the themes or characters seem overly dated to the time it was made. Still one of my favorites.

The original X-Men animated series is laughably bad. Probably the most unintentionally hilarious cartoon I've watched.

The original Transformers cartoons are pretty bad. Some of them anyways. Yeah, I bought the box sets of all three seasons, and about halfway through the first one I kept thinking to myself "I really over-romanticised this". Same applies to He-Man, Thundercats, and GI Joe/Action Force.

I'm in my 30s and two of my favorite shows to this day are Garfield and Friends and 80s TMNT. Garfield and Friends still makes me laugh and 80s TMNT is just a fun show to watch.
And yeah, people say "Uh...how old are you again?", to which I say, I'd rather watch those shows than anything on TV nowadays. I mean, what else are you going to watch these days? Reality show #872?

Clutch Cargo has probably aged the worst out of any cartoon.
Then again, it was probably horrible back then as well.

it's still fun but the 90s X-men cartoon has not aged well at all.

I know I'm going to catch hell for saying it didn't age well, so let me get my bomb shelter ready... Dragon Ball Z Hear me out, it was awesome early on and i do love the idea of the show, but now I realize you could condense it down to 1/2 the episodes and not miss a thing. The whole Freeza fight went nowhere slowly. The whole series is filler on top of filler on top of filler on top of filler. Dull voice acting and animation, all of which I didn't notice 15 years ago. Please don't hate me, but it's not as good as everyone remembers.

Vegeta saga is OK, it's much shorter, the filler goes out of its way to actually develop the characters and the final battle was built up pretty epic, the actual fight was fun to watch to. Namek saga is awful. Granted I always though it was kinda boring but everything pre-Ginyu can be summed up as "Let's fly to point A and narrowly miss villain who's flying to point B who almost fights Villain from point C." Then the Freeza fight is way to f***ing long and always has been. Androids were boring, Cell was awesome. Buu was...Buu.

For example, I fondly remember the following scene but am disappointed in it when I actually watch it. Basically, the good parts don't mask the bad parts, though in my memory I only choose to remember the good parts.
