Remember when Jack Swagger used THE PATRIOT ACT? Or how about that Bad News Barrett elbow known as THE SOUVENIR or even when he called the WadeSlam the WASTELAND? Remember when Seth Rollins' Curbstomp was PIECE OF MIND for about 2 weeks? Or how about when Cesaro's Neutralizer was the GOTCH-STYLE Neutralizer? I'm sure we all remember when Christian's UNPRETTIER suddenly became the Killswitch. And don't get me started on Daniel Bryan's LeBELL LOCK.
I'm sure there are tons more that I can't think of, but luckily you, the audience at home, can help me out.

Carlito used the Backcracker as a finisher until he turned heel. From that point on, it was named the Backstabber. I was happy about that change because the Backcracker sounds like he is going to help someone alleviate some back pain.

Unprettier to Killswitch was the oddest change, while FU to Attitude Adjustment was the biggest and most obvious reasoning-wise. Also, cutting out "Gotch-style" from Neutralizer is not much of a difference, kind of like Chokeslam vs. Chokeslam from hell.

Sheamus went from Celtic Cross, to High Cross, to Pale Justice, to not even using the move at all.

I don't know about you all but I love how Bryan changed his LeBell Lock into the Yes Lock. It worked with his character and it had better development than i figured it would get. It had an actual segment to it.

It's still called the Killswitch isn't it? And I'm pretty sure they still call it the Wasteland, or at least Cole called it as such when he went for it on Raw. I will say though, Bullhammer's infinitely better than Souvenir. I think they're calling it the Bad News Bullhammer as well now, not sure how I feel about that.

This one always bugged me.
Even before the Unprettier, Christian called his move the Impaler. What makes this confusing is that at the same time, the lifting DDT that Gangrel used was also called the Impaler. It was later used by Edge and was called the Edgecution and ended up being called the Impaler DDT.

Wasn't the Angle slam originally the Olympic Slam?
Did they relocate the Clothesline from Hell to from New York?
Do we consider the Lion Tamer & Walls of Jericho different moves?

Do we consider the Lion Tamer & Walls of Jericho different moves? I think they actually are. One is like a Boston Crab while the other is the high angle, WCW version he occasionally uses in WWE. Cole tends to do well with calling the difference. It's like the difference between a Powerbomb and the Last Ride by Taker.

I always associated that name with the move Diesel used to do.

THE MOVE IS CALLED THE WADESLAM While we're at it, when other people use the move, the commentators can't seem to make up their minds whether to call it the Bossman Slam or Black Hole Slam. And I love that that name catching on is probably the biggest impact TNA has had on WWE.

I love that the reason people started calling it that was because Big Vis was raping guys up the butt after hit said move.

Personally I just use the names that I like best. The killswitch is an infinitely better name than the unprettier (seriously that's not even a word and if it was it wouldn't be a noun) and the FU was a better name than the Attitude Adjustment. Although the Attitude Adjusment is a pretty damn good name for the era between 2001 and 2009 in WWE. At least a lot more appropriate than "Ruthless Agression".

Seth's curbstomp is named the PEACE of Mind not the Piece of Mind and it's still listed as that on his official bio... and the Wasteland is still called the Wasteland... any jokes about it being called the Wadeslam is from an old results thing that showed up here that called it that. It's actually even more different. The Walls was originally a high angle Boston crab but the Lion Tamer is more than that as Jericho also shoves his knee int your back for it as well. I don't think the unprettier/Kill Switch was ever officially called the Impaler... I think that was from JR calling every move they did the impaler Like how every move Jeff Hardy did was the whisper in the wind or twist of fate Wasn't the Angle slam originally the Olympic Slam? Did they relocate the Clothesline from Hell to from New York? Yes, but they almost got sued by the Olympics for it. and No, despite people saying it should be renamed the Clothesline from Wall Street.
