The guy fell off a cliff like you wouldn't believe, so he probably went back to his magic pills without a valid prescription.

First Chris Young breaks up the no-no, then he hits the walk-off HR. I think he's gonna be a big factor this September. Man, after how godawful he looked on the Mets, who woulda thought he would gotten into a hot streak in September? Did the Wilpons build Citi Field on an Indian Burial Ground or something?

As for Chris Davis, that's one way to join the list of all time great players like Mickey Mantle and Hank Aaron. Use the same kind of drug they did.
He's a dumbass for being caught, but this is part of why I find baseball's newfound self-righteous attitude about PED's completely bogus. Especially since Chris Davis was one of the more outspoken players about doing things "the right way" without steroids or HGH. But other drugs? Whatever.

Friday's game between the Twins and White Sox has been postponed due to rain.
CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that Major League Baseball would allow the Orioles to place Chris Davis on their ALCS roster while he's still suspended.

Stanton has "lacerations, multiple facial fractures, and dental damage".

That hit to Stanton looked horrible.
Also we got ourselves a pitchers' duel (or an inept offense duel) in Camden Yards. 0-0 game between the Yanks and O's in the 11th Inning.

Chris Young loves to play hero. Solo shot and the Yanks finally get on the board in the 11th.

Mets fans: "SERIOUSLY?!"

And it all goes to waste as Warren gives up the game-winning RBIs.

Oriole magic? O's loaded the bases in the 9th and 10th innings. Loaded them again in the 11th and they walk off and beat the Yankees 2-1. Magic number down to 7.

I'm hoping tomorrow's game between the O's and Yankees is as good as it was today. I'll be in attendance. Tommorow has Shane Greene vs Miguel Gonzalez, who has allowed two or fewer runs in nine of his last ten starts. That's pretty good.
I'm not a Yanks fan but I'm not missing an opportunity to see Derek Jeter one last time. Sucks that I won't see Chris Davis but whatever.

BTW I misspoke, this whole time I assumed the Yankees were in 2nd place but it's actually Toronto, thus the Orioles can't clinch the AL East this weekend. My math suggests they can cut the magic number to as low as 1. The entire year, the O's thing has been good pitching, defense and bullpen. I believe they are 15-4 without Davis, but I think not having Machado, Wieters and Davis in the postseason may just be too much to overcome. Especially if they have to play the Tigers in the ALDS.

Shane Greene struck out nine batters and allowed two runs over 5 1/3 innings in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Orioles.

Shane Greene struck out nine batters and allowed two runs over 5 1/3 innings in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Orioles. And Brian McCann hit an ugly pitch at his ankles out of the deepest part of the park. Everyone sitting around me at Camden looked around at each other after that home run thinking "How the hell did he get enough power to go yard with that one!"
