Wow that episode on the divas may have been the best one yet. That story was really well told. I kinda wish they talked about Debra jumping to WWF, but I guess she's really not that important. No mention of Kat flashing her kittens either, but that's not surprising.

Schedule finally updated, this week's show is indeed about the use of celebrities in the War.

Aside from Tyson (and MAYBE ICP), did WWF really rely that much on celebrities in the MNW? You'd get occasional appearances and such, but it was WCW that went over the top with celebs.

WWF had a few here and there (Arnold Schwarnzenegger, Cindy Margolis), but those were usually one-spot, one-show things.

Here's how I expect the celebrities episode will go -
WWE invented bringing in celebrities with Wrestlemania. In the 90's they had people like LT, Pamela Anderson and Chuck F***ing Norris. WCW had Rodman and Malone, which was alright I guess. Mike Tyson came to WWE and OMG let's all suck his d*** for the next 40 minutes because that shit was the greatest. WCW had some laughable celebrities. Cue the montage of Jay Leno, Chucky, KISS, Megadeth and maybe Ricky Rackman. David Arquette won the WCW title LOL that was the worst thing ever. WWE continued to kill it with the celebrities they brought in. Remember that time Arnold Schwarzenegger phantom-punched Triple H on Smackdown? If you don't, we got 20 replays here to show you. WWE won the war and continue to have great celebrity involvement to this day. Cue the montage of The Muppets, Bob Barker, and the stars of Hot Tub Time Machine.

WWE also had Ben Stiller, Jeff Jarrett locked him in the figure 4.
But as said before those were mainly 1 off appearances.

Well looks like Sting and Undertaker are going to share an episode for some reason. I don't get it, it seems like they both should have their own episode, especially considering their careers are longer than most of the people who got their own episodes. Also they are going to start putting these out on DVD/Blu-Ray now

Yeah, the plan was for a joint Sting/Undertaker episode tomorrow night, but I guess WWE felt that would have given fans too much of an expectation right after Sting debuted, so they've swapped it with the celebrities episode.

The usual celebrities featured on this week's edition, although there were also big chunks dedicated to Mark Henry, Ken Shamrock and Kurt Angle. A lot of it was burying the use of Jay Leno and David Arquette.
Next week is "Foundations of War", on both Sting and The Undertaker.

So, is it bad that I accidentally watched the first episode of Monday Night War instead of the latest one, and didn't notice until after the first 10 minutes?

Maybe they don't want to offend Master P incase they want to use his music or something in the future. I dunno.

Well my summary was pretty close. I didn't predict them talking about Mark Henry, Kurt Angle and Ken Shamrock though. That was the only thing I missed. Why didn't they at least mention the WCW equivalent - Tank Abbott? Or how about all the NFL-ers WCW used - Kevin Greene, Mongo, Reggie White, etc. This episode was the more favorable for WWE than any other before it. This isn't re-telling the "war" as much as it is telling everybody why WWE crushed the upstart little WCW. Because WWE was mainstream and WCW was out of touch. As a WCW fan, that one hurt to watch.

It's rather bizarre that they didn't mention any of WCW's celebrity involvement after 1999, save for Arquette. You'd think they would happily dump on WCW for tanking their own ratings with bad use of KISS or Arli$$ or Master P.

How many more episodes? I can see them doing an episode on Bischoff and McMahon's evil authority figure gimmicks, and MAYBE a Randy Savage episode, if just to promote the dvd (savage did jump before the MNW, but he was a major star during that period, at least up through 1999).

More one sided nonsense. Why couldn't WWE bring up any of their AWFUL celebrity involvements? Never mind the last few years with all the guest host shit, but during the wars: Drew Carrey in the Royal Rumble comes to mind, William Shatner getting the upper hand on the legendary Jerry Lawler...

Kind of an unpopular opinion but I never liked Undertaker or Sting as a kid watching through that era.
I thought both of them were lame as f***. Especially Sting who sounded like a dad doing a stand-up routine half the time.
But I actually thought American Bad-Ass Taker was cool when he debuted so what do I know.
