Probably the best example of that was that weird ass two parter where her friends were all killed off (it was a campfire story, but still...).

What the f*** were up with those episodes? Who in their right mind said "you know, adding near death experiences would really help this show meant for kids." When I was young, I kept thinking: "why is this happening?!!!"

I did not really watch the show as a kid. I do remember thinking "She is going to be so hot when she grows up!"*
* OK, that is a lie. I thought no such thing, though if I had I would have been spot on.

I loved that show. I remember the fridge episode. It was terrifying.

I think that's the only episode people remember from the show.... I, honestly, have a clearer memory of the cartoon than I do the actual show.

I remember a multi-part episode where Henry almost died that traumatized me as a child.

I remember a multi-part episode where Henry almost died that traumatized me as a child. Yeah, he had like the mother of all ulcers. The story also involved the photo studio burning down, and Henry losing custody of Punky. It was like a 5 part kick to Henry's nuts.

This, along with a few other shows, I KNOW I watched every single week, but beyond very foggy memories, I can't tell you anything about.
Blossom is another one.

All I seem to remember about this show is it too the "Very special episode" thing to a ridiculous level... where if you happen upon an episode and it's actually a goofy sitcom episode, it's a rare oddity in the world of Punky Brewster.

Yeah, I watched it in syndication (5 PM on channel 56) but have very few direct memories of the episodes. I remember the refrigerator episode (so yeah, I guess everyone remembers that episode, but few people remember any others). Also, Henry once answering a radio contest on what was the windiest city in America. He said Chicago, which is, believe it or not, wrong! Oh and the theme song, which needs appreciation:

It STILL scares the f*** out of me. If that scared you then whatever you do stay far away from the Different Strokes episode where Arnold and Dudley visit the bike shop.

Did they ever explain what happened to Mike after the first couple of seasons? TK Carter was a pretty good character actor IMO who needed more work.

I know that Joey Lawrence and Mayim Bialik both have TV shows, but what ever happened to Jenna Von Oy?

I was a huge Punky Brewster mark as a little kid, I had such a big crush on her... I even watched the somewhat more f***ed up cartoon series, even if no other boys I knew would admit to it. (But then again, I liked Jem too...)
