It wasn't said exactly in the lines of this article, but I think Dave wants to wait and see before announcing it (one thing I do like about Dave, like, it doesn't build suspense for what it could be, and whether Spike renews TNA or not, it will still be a big story).
If they're done on Spike, they're done, unless WWE picks them up to make original content for the network, which wouldn't be a bad idea at this point. One idea people talk about is how WWE should be putting indies and New Japan on the WWE Network to get original content, and not necessarily buy them up. With Impact though, WWE could buy up the company and produce it in house, but it might be a lot harder then it would be if the indies or New Japan were given them content and producing it themselves.

I mean...f*** TNA. Honestly, that's how I feel if they go out of business. 12 years of unrealized potential 12 years of making the same mistakes over and over and over again. 12 years of just not getting it. I'm tired of it. Let somebody else try to be the #2 American wrestling company. Maybe no one will take TNA's place but they had their chance and they failed. Miserably, at that. Seriously Magiconz, this might be the single post on this board that reflects any of my opinions on anything best. Sucks that it's a TNA opinion, but still. In 2007, I was right there denouncing the then-current booking team and calling for better and better. And in 2007, they had everything at their fingertips to be the best. They had the best wrestlers under contract. They had some semblance of a groundswell movement where TNA wasn't seen as a joke universally, so there was room to grow there. And.... Punisher Andrew Martin. Junior Fatu. Black Reign. Kurt Angle: Champion of the Universe. Rellik. Kevin Nash. Etc. In 2009, they had a video game out by this point and were still making small strides in getting exposure. They had a mostly packed house for BFG that year and everybody adored AJ Styles 2009 title run... until 2010. And let's all take a moment to remember TNA 2010. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. Bubba the Love Sponge. Depush of TNA originals. Nasty Boys. Titles won by pulling it out of a box. 10-10-10 Werrrrreeee herrrreeeeeeeeeee. They had the f***ing Pope right there to be a People's Champion type with the crowd absolutely ready to cheer him on.... but because he wasn't around in WCW 1998, we saw what happened to him. I'd go on year by year until the present, but anybody who posts here already knows. It was frustrating as all hell to make a point that the company blew and needed change only to be drowned out by diehard TNA fans who would close their eyes, cover their ears and grin at the fact that they could go against the grain. It's wrong to think it, but TNA going under brings validation to those who can say "I told you so". There won't be people pining for TNA 10 years from now. Even WCW has those fans left. But I only see like 3 people in the world (Kent Jones not included) being sad about TNA going down. Most would be upset or bothered by the state of wrestling with one less promotion out there for guys to work at. TNA could have been #1 by 2014 if they'd not been run by the people who were on the cover of the Death of WCW and the daughter or a billionaire who wanted to f***ing bad to be on television. Does anybody remember Dixie saying she'd never be a television character? Jeesh. Good riddance. I hope something better and more competently run can rise from it's ashes. Cross the line.

Magnus he was TNA's hottest babyface before y'know they turned him heel, like WWE/Cesaro in stupidly turning one of your hottest talents with the crowd heel, and I know Kaz and Daniels are gone, Joe was their biggest star when he debuted, up until the point they decided to paint a penis on his head and pair him with Taz. Yes and you think Mangus and Joe NOW have the same star power they did then? Mangus now it seem it like decades ago when he was MEing or a hot babyface. That's the problem TNA can't make a guy look like a star and keep him at that level. Joe was a killer which a lot of it much like Punk and Bryan. Because who they where in ROH. That why when all of them walked on WWE TV they where over off the bat. Nope but you say they can't make a guy look like a star and keep it consistent, but they have done recently so far, EC3/Roode being examples.

BFG being in Japan pretty much told me they have no plans to run past that show. Now should some lesser network pick them up that could change but I'd think that deal would be done and announced by now if it existed. I would not be shocked if they went Euro only but it will be sometime in 2015 and after major changes to the roster that would leave them looking like a completely different company.
The only questions to me would be: Does this open a way for GFW to be on SpikeTV (right now, Jeff cannot make a deal with them as a condition of leaving TNA) and Does WWE make a play for the tape library? The money for the library being enough to get them started in the UK.

I think they would buy the Library. With AJ, JJ, Hardy this stuff can go on the network

I hear people speculating about a move to another network, but I really wonder who would even bother. On top of that, it sounds like TNA was pretty dependent on money from Spike. A lesser network surely isn't going to match whatever they were getting. How much more can be cut?
Overall, this is a situation where I feel bad if this is what happens...even though they kind of deserve it.

If... when... TNA goes I'm going to be incredibly f***ing sad. TNA is the reason I found this great forum and they were the ones responsible for getting me back into wrestling.
You can argue whether or not they deserve it, an argument I don't disagree with, but f***, man, this sucks.

Here's a more positive song about this potential news.
I guess like, GFW is the big hope as TNA dies, GFW might rise from the ashes and take some of the very talented wrestlers. TNA is dead in the water because of management, and that's it. It's not the talent's fault. So maybe they will find new life.

I've said it before but it's worth repeating... TNA needs a new home, WWE Network needs new content... why not team up??

@courtbauer It's uncanny how history repeats itself in wrestling. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worst.

This could be a great thing for Jarrett if this is it. He could have a great group of talent to help start his company. I mean I be all over Joe, Roode, Aries, and ext. I wonder if Jarrett can't go on Spike deal still a thing if there is no more TNA. I highly doubt the UK move will happen. Is there enough talent to even make it worth it and keep the numbers up?

It's actually just sinking in, like, TNA might be done. Like, it really kinda sucks. Like, management was the worst, but TNA still had some great talent in it, and like, I hope a lot of them are picked up.

I've said it before but it's worth repeating... TNA needs a new home, WWE Network needs new content... why not team up?? If McMahon truly wants to provide competition within WWE, then he'd do it problem is, he can't afford to right now, with the WWE Network and the financial problems with that.
