For giving guys like AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, James Storm, Christopher Daniels, Austin Aries & others the chance to wrestle on national, prime-time television every week, the X-Division & Ultimate X, the Knockouts Division, Lockdown(for the most part), lots of great matches, putting, at one time, a true alternative to WWE on national TV.

It gave us Scott Steiner's best promos. I hated Steiner all through his WWE run. It wasn't until a couple of years into watching his TNA that I got his character at last and worked out that his promos were supposed to be stupid due to him playing a dumb jock character. Then I loved him so much:
"HE'S FAT!"
"Look at your Son, he has my eyes!"
"I'm going to dot my T's and cross my I's."
"The numbers don't lie and they spell disaster for you!"
Are among my favourite promos ever.
It also gave me one of my favourite moments ever.
Sting turns up in a nice sports car. Kip James: You want me to park that for you? Sting: You don't have to park my car Billy. Sting walks off and Kip talks to Lauren. Kip James: You know I used to have one of those cars myself. Lauren: When?!?!?! Kip James: When I was over. The intro for the show then plays ending the funniest cold-open to a wrestling show ever.

Now that Russo has killed a third company (WCW, Ring of Glory, TNA), ....That being said, in my opinion the biggest contribution TNA has left behind is making Women Wrestling relevant, the booker back then, Dutch Mantell, said that the knockouts pulled bigger ratings than Sting vs Kurt Angle. Mickie James vs Tara is, as far as I know, the only time a women's match was the main event in tv wrestling history.... I couldn't agree with your assessment more.

What was innovative about the X Division outside of the Ultimate X match? This isn't a shot, this is paying attention to that style of wrestling happening all over the place and not being exclusive to TNA. TNA giving the style a national platform.

I do think the X Division could really be something elsewhere. Maybe if WWE does purchase TNA they will adopt the X Division since it will be a Cruiserweight division without the stink of the term Cruiserweight. Aside from that, Ultimate X is something I hope goes elsewhere, and I hope GFW uses the six sided ring since Jarrett was the person who thought of doing it in America anyway. Hell, maybe GFW could just incorporate all these things. I hope the only thing he doesn't incorporate is Russo. amen

Now that Russo has killed a third company (WCW, Ring of Glory, TNA), I was thinking about TNA's legacy. This is not a loltna bashing, I'm just curious how people will remember it. Apart from R-Truth they haven't created any major star, the x divison while being a cool concept, hasn't been adapted by anyone else, cruiser weights have been around forever. That being said, in my opinion the biggest contribution TNA has left behind is making Women Wrestling relevant, the booker back then, Dutch Mantell, said that the knockouts pulled bigger ratings than Sting vs Kurt Angle. Mickie James vs Tara is, as far as I know, the only time a women's match was the main event in tv wrestling history. Before the knockouts division started in 2007, women wrestling was a joke, if you compare the WWE's women division then and now, you can see that they got better, from having that competition. Awesome Kong became a star, Gail Kim too, it's even been rumored that of all the tna gimmicks over the years, the one the wwe stole was the beautiful people. In your opinion, how did tna change wrestling? I think Scott D'Amore was the head booker of the KO Division during that time, though Dutch was a big part of it's success.
