Mickie James vs Tara is, as far as I know, the only time a women's match was the main event in tv wrestling history. Nope. Lita vs. Trish was the main event of RAW December 4, 2004. I believe it was the match where Lita did THAT suicide dive. And before that, on the go home Raw before SummerSlam 2000, Stephanie vs Lita main evented.

TNA helped make being a wrestling fan something to be embarrassed about again.

They played a part in 'mainstreaming' the dueling chant.

Smart-ass answer: They made Thunder no longer the worst-ever Thursday night wrestling presentation.
Real answer: They were maybe the best national promotion to properly give a platform to cruiserweights.

The storyline, build-up and actual match of Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle at Lockdown 08. I'm the most casual of casual MMA fans but this really felt like a direction TNA should have considered going into. Borrowed a lot from UFC, from the Countdown style video packages to the way the match was filmed but was still very much a pro wrestling angle. It was something fresh and different. Granted, most guys wouldn't fit into that as much as Angle and Joe did but it was one of the best builds I've ever seen.
I think it would have been more effective if that build had happened during their first feud, though, and not after a year of Joe being booked into oblivion.

You know I loved their entire feud, but just hated that match, I don't know, to me the cage is there to just bash the opponents head in, well maybe I need to rewatch that match again, back in 08 I didn't liked mma, now for the last two years I've tried to learn jiu jitsu and some striking, I haven't rolled in some time though. Yeah that was Joe's greatest moment, but just lurking around the corner hid the main event mafia, man I hated that deal, to me it was the beginning of the end.
