Holy hell, is there anything more infuriating than watching somebody get distracted in the ring by somebody on the apron or on commentary or by somebody's music only to lose focus on their in-ring opponent and lose a match?
A. This finish is done at least once a week.
B. It makes your wrestler look like a geek.
C. It's done so often that it's virtually impossible for a wrestler NOT TO KNOW that this will lead to a loss. It always leads to a loss. How do wrestlers still fall for distractions like that in 2014?
Is it so much to ask for the bookers to come up with something a little more creative and less insulting to the intelligence of both your workers and audience alike?

"Hey guys, I'm about to go out there and turn this match into a SHITSTORM. The moment I come out, hit MYYYY music."
"Oh yeah? Well, alright."

The "my rival's theme music is playing so I must pay attention to him" finish annoys me so much. It'd be one thing if it was just a brief glance at the soundstage that costs the wrestler the match but no, they HAVE to stare at the other person for several seconds as if they have completely forgotten they were in a wrestling match. Stupid, makes everybody that falls for it look like a complete goober.

I can't remember what match it was (I think Cesaro was involved), but last year somebody just glanced up at the ramp and it cost them the match. That was probably the only time that tactic didn't make the victim look like a fool.

I think it's plain ridiculous in general when someone else's music starts inexplicably playing during a match not involving said person.

Tag team partner not accepting the tag; legal man that wanted to tag in partner loses the match.

The only thing more annoying than "My rival's music is playing, I must look at him" is "My rivals' music is playing but no one is on the ramp, I must look confused oh my god why am I on my back what is happening am I a turtle?"

The ringside distraction stuff is so dumb sometimes. I have my opponent trapped in my killer submission move in the middle of the ring and he's about to tap out..but wait! His manager is on the ring apron shouting at me. I shall release this hold and go deal with him instead.

The worst match ending of all time is still Battleground last year. At least these matches have definitive finishes. Even a DQ or a Dusty finish is better.

I remember at a Raw I was at last year it was during a match between Chris Jericho and Dolph Ziggler. When Jericho had Ziggler in The Walls Fandango's theme began playing but he never came out, Jericho let go of the hold then looked at the ramp.
Him and Ziggler then started wrestling again whilst the theme played for about a minute and a half, Jericho then decided to look at the ramp again allowing Ziggler to hit the Zig Zag for the win. On tv they edited this down but it still looked completely stupid live.

It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't do it 3 times a week and then sometimes again on the pay per view. Fandango has lost by being distracted by Summer and Layla, what, 14 times in a row?

His manager is on the ring apron shouting at me. I shall release this hold and go deal with him instead. This is only acceptable in cases where the ref is distracted by them, and even then, works better for pins, naturally, unless the time bought by the manager allows them to get to the ropes or hide that they tapped out. Otherwise, yeah, this is silly.

The 'I was secretly working for the other side in this tag team match'.
If the person being turned on is the only guy in for the whole match, fine, but they've done this where both guys have wrestled, so the guy's been beaten up in the match, then joined the guys beating him not 5 minutes ago.

Not a WWE Match, but Sting vs Jeff Hardy, TNA Victory Road 2011
That "match" should have NEVER happened in the state Hardy was in, at all.

Though, Sting did go up in my estimation with his shouting back, at a "bullshit!" call from the crowd, "I AGREE!" and not hiding that this was a betrayal of his trust in the company. Yes, even companies backstab Sting.

Yes, even companies backstab Sting. Oh yeah, but if we're going by Copout rules? This takes the cake
Hardy too drugged out to think straight, Bischoff having to stall for time and make it a gimmick match that wouldn't matter anyway. Stinger Death Drop in like 10seconds after Hardy played with his T Shirt for another 4, match and PPV ends like 20 minutes early even despite recapping the whole show to fill up more time.
Say what you want about the Finger Poke of Doom, this was a match that was ten times worse than that just with the knowledge of what happened alone with Hardy's health and them not willing to change the card despite it, and having Sting try and work with basically nothing, at all. No effort, no F***'s given about how may people spent money for a good main event match. That's why Sting acknowledged it, everyone knew, there was no hiding it.
One of the biggest embarrassments in this history of Wrestling.
