I recently made the thread about how millions still pay for AOL dial up. It got me to thinking, what are some other things that are either still around, or lasted MUCH longer than you might have thought.
Lets try to keep things, like print media, or physical media out of this since those are obviously still around at least for the foreseeable future.
I discovered recently that WebTV/MSNTV finally ceased operations in September of 2013. They obviously hadn't sold the actual hardware for years, but existing hardware was still being supported as late as last year.

I see drive-in movie theatres that are still open for business. Something about drive-ins seem so outdated, but I'm glad to see they still exist.
And before the recent revival in relevance (marriage, death, zombies), Archie comics still being published seemed quite surprising.

I know they are closing down stores, but I'm shocked that Radio Shack is still around.

Phone Books-Give it up people
Actually I'm not surprised, but as much as I live in the past, I'm ok with some stuff going away

And before the recent revival in relevance (marriage, death, zombies), Archie comics still being published seemed quite surprising. Are we just talking about books starring Archie and his line of characters, or any books from the company? Because if the latter, at the very least the Mega Man comics they put out are great, and they still have the Sonic comics after all this time. On topic...surprised to still see pay phones around at least where I live.

Papa John's. Not so much how they're still around, but how they're still commercially viable. Of the major pizza chains, they seem the weakest. Pizza Hut is more established and has more specialty stuff. Dominos has better quality. Papa John's doesn't even post their ingredients despite their slogan touting the quality thereof.
I have no idea where they can pull all their sponsorship deals out of, for that matter.

TMNT as a strong brand Kids still go nuts for , even as a kid I thought after Next Mutation that was the last thing you would see of the turtles and it was just going to be a relic of the early 90s. But , since pretty much 2003 they have been around in some form of TV/Movie media and still pretty relevant.

Mega Man and Sonic make more sense as comics....despite being old video game characters who barely ever have video games anymore, IIRC?

Newspapers, magazines etc... A lot of magazines still do well. I'm with you on newspapers though.

Well, Sonic just had new games released last year, and more upcoming. Plus both are going to be in the next Smash Bros. game.
