Could be. If he goes to New York, then is loaned back to City. It will at least give him the chance to get his full set of medals. I would be very surprised if he did that. I see him going to LA Galaxy or another new franchise that doesn't have Man City connections.

LFC confirms Gerrard is leaving at the end of the season. Says he won't go out of country to another team.
Sad day for Liverpool.

LFC confirms Gerrard is leaving at the end of the season. Says he won't go out of country to another team. Sad day for Liverpool. He said he wouldn't join a team that could line up against Liverpool, so I'm guessing he will go out of the continent. I'm sad that he's not going to be a one-club man and as strange as it will be to see him play for anyone else, if that's what he wants then good luck to him and whilst he would never give any less than his best, you could see he was unable to play as frequently as in the past. He may not have won the League title but he's got a few medals to look at and it certainly doesn't make him any less of a player because he never won the League. Although I don't think he's the best ever Liverpool player, Kenny Dalglish takes that honour for me. I don't see it as a case of if he'll be back at Anfield as a Coach or Manager maybe one day, I see it as a case of when.

So, Alan Pardew signed for Crystal Palace as their new manager. Probably for the best, he was never really accepted by the Newcastle fans. Nothing he could do would be ever be good enough for them, lets hope he keeps Palace up, if only to piss off the Brighton fans off.

I would like to see Alan Pardew stick around in the Premier League, mainly for potential funny touchline altercations.

Get passed the quarter final stage of any cup? Win one of the last 6 derbies vs Sunderland? Not play Moussa Sissoko on the right wing for 18 months? Not suggest people from Southampton are more intelligent than people from Newcastle? Not headbutt opposition players? Deliver motivational half time team talks? Any of those would have helped.

Newcastle should go for Rafa Benitez. I think his family still lives in England. I'm sure compensation could be agreed with Napoli

Looks like Lukas Podolski is going on loan to Inter Milan for the rest of the season. Really think Wenger should have played him more I think it's crazy he hasn't started a league game for us all season. He has one of the deadliest left foot's I've seen.

Will Everton ever win again? If there's any Everton fans on this board I'd like them to enlighten me on what they've been like this season. They're obviously on a bad run but I just assumed they were just getting some bad luck/not being clinical enough with the mass amount of possession they usually have (see: Being Too Arsenal). But when we played them last Sunday they were f***ing dire. We played them off the park for the middle 70 minutes (in between the horrible start and horrible end we had where we forgot how to pass a football) of that game and I was expecting to see the Everton of last season. Was that just a bad game or have they been like that all season? In the Premier League, it has been like that all year. They have looked good in the Europa League, save for the last game. They won their group. I don't know what's going on.

Not that I've been following Everton closely this season, but perhaps it's the toll of European competition that is contributing to their poor form. After all, this is their first proper season in Europe in a long time and their squad isn't exactly the deepest. I'm more curious about what Everton fans think of Roberto Martinez. I'm a bit surprised to see reports speculating that his job may not be so secure. Much like Jurgen Klopp at Dortmund, I would have thought the reputation he has built so far would be sufficient to shield him from any criticism for now, despite how badly his team is performing.

MLS confirms that Gerrard will be heading to USA in the summer.
Let's hope this goes down better than the Lampard move.

For a team that has won just 4 out of 17 league matches this season, one wouldn't expect three of those victories to be against Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.

How can you not like Adebayo Akinfenwa. Beast of a player scores against the team he supports in the FA Cup.

I will freely admit i have only been a supporter for the last few years (and only started following them heavily when we got all the EPL games here in the States). I think some of what you said about European competition could be right. I think they are going to be really working towards making a run in the Europa League because that seems to be the only way they will stay in Europe next year (well, there is the FA Cup too). My main complaint is how bad they are in the midfield and back with the ball. They are careless in possession and it has cost them several times. If Howard is out for a lengthly period of time (I have read 4-6 weeks), they might want to think about bringing in another keeper (maybe a short term loan?). I'm not very impressed with Joel at all. Regarding Martinez.... I like him, but this team came into the season with a lot of aspirations and are underperforming right now (except in the Europa League). I would hope Everton stick with him... but who knows. Again, I am a bit of a novice, so someone else might give you better info.
