Looks like Premier League sackings are now coming in fast, with West Brom sacking Alan Irvine. Tends to happen before the transfer window opens. Clubs panic and think "hmmm, do we want to give this guy money to spend?" and they prefer to hire someone new. Pulis would be fine at WBA. All they need is consolidation. A mid table finish every year would be their goal. He can do that.

West Brom in talks with both Tony Pulis & Tim Sherwood. Surely Pulis is the only choice out of those two?

Inevitable really, raised a lot of eyebrows when they appointed him. Still don't know why they bothered. Honestly I can't believe he did as well as he did. He was in way over his head and now he could end up as a Championship manager after being Everton's youth coach. Irvine was great when he managed Preston, he had the team playing well and it was building towards something. However sadly a few dodgy results and an owner looking to sell he got rid of him and we ended up getting relegated

I don't follow football that closely, have there been any hints that Leicester are looking to change managers since they've not won in forever?

They beat Hull a few days ago that was their first win since September. Hasn't really been much of a hint he might lose his job though and I don't see anyone (maybe Pulis) doing much better with the players they have.

The thing with Pulis is that he seems determined to be in charge of transfers and that won't be the case at Newcastle or West Brom.
Can't believe we got compensation for Pardew mind, I suppose there was method behind the madness of the 8 year contract after all. No idea who Ashley will go for next, anyone know of any managers renowned for frequenting London casinos?

Is it ironic or fitting that the two clubs Mike Ashley has a stake in are currently managerless?

Ashley will eventually dump Newcastle for Rangers.
Rangers offer a greater chance of consistent European football once they inevitably get back into the Scottish Premier Division, which is also better for promoting his company, and will take less money to win trophies in Scotland.

I dunno, Rangers are pretty much a mess right now off the park and on it they look unlikely even to get back to the Scottish Premiership let alone be the force they once were.

Chris Hughton announced as the new Brighton manager. I hope he does better than Sami Hyypia did.
Also who would Newcastle fans want as their new manager? Steve Bruce? Tony Pulis? Tim Sherwood? Kevin Keegan again?

Kevin Keegan again? There's really not a great overlap between manager's I would want and manager's who would want to come to Newcastle. I wouldn't mind Sherwood 'cos I thought he was harshly treated at Spurs and deserves another chance. I'd like Eddie Howe though, guy has worked wonders at Bournemouth and has earned an opportunity at a Premier League job so I'd plump for him. It's a risk but it's what I'd do.

Rumour has it that Steven Gerrard will leave Liverpool at the end of the season, possibly to go to MLS

Will Everton ever win again? If there's any Everton fans on this board I'd like them to enlighten me on what they've been like this season. They're obviously on a bad run but I just assumed they were just getting some bad luck/not being clinical enough with the mass amount of possession they usually have (see: Being Too Arsenal). But when we played them last Sunday they were f***ing dire. We played them off the park for the middle 70 minutes (in between the horrible start and horrible end we had where we forgot how to pass a football) of that game and I was expecting to see the Everton of last season. Was that just a bad game or have they been like that all season?
