Congo vs Congo starts off the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals, with the Democratic Republic coming back from 0-2 down to beat the Republic 4-2, all goals coming in the second half.
Meanwhile, Chelsea remain 5 points clear at the top of the Premier League, drawing 1-1 with Manchester City. However, they lose their 100% home record this season. At the other end of the spectrum, Queens Park Rangers maintain their 0% away record (0-0-11 now) with their loss to Stoke.
In Germany, Borussia Dortmund 0-0 with Bayer Leverkusen and remain bottom of the Bundesliga. One of the season's biggest mysteries for sure.

Equatorial Guinea Pig equalise against Tunisia with the softest penalty in football history.

Called it the moment the forward broke into the penalty area.
"He's going to go down. Ref's going to award the penalty." And it happened.
Update: And the hosts advance. Equatorial Guinea eliminate Tunisia 2-1, scoring on a free kick in extra time. I don't like to throw around accusations, but that certainly felt like a screwjob. The Tunisians are furious, and the referees need to be escorted off the pitch.

Wow how did the ref give that penalty? Awful.
Chelsea were lucky to get a point in the end against Man City, just feel City should have won if they had better quality. The likes of Milner, Navas & Fernando are just ordinary players. Missing Toure maybe.

Thought I'd give a mention to my local side (well my local side in league football anyway) Crawley Town who won their first game since October beating Preston 2-1. They slipped to bottom of league 1 so hoping that win can kick them on now and they don't get relegated.
The club has had so many loan deals (way too many) and a manager (first John Gregory now Dean Saunders) change it's been hard for them to get a settled side and the games I have seen them play this season they have played some awful football. It's been an incredible 5 years for Crawley and don't want to see it end just yet.

Arsenal currently beating Aston Villa 4-0.
Villa really do need to start scoring again soon otherwise they are in real trouble.

Nothing against Villa but for some reason I'd find it hilarious if they beat Derby's 2008 Premier League record low goal-scoring total of 20. They're on track right now with just 11 from 23 matches.
Meanwhile, not much of a contest in the first quarter-final of the day as Ghana beat Guinea 3-0 and will face the other Guinea next.

celtic won against rangers in the scottish league cup 2 goals to 0 ..... it should have been five or six in all honestly! massive gulf in quality, mcculluch should have had two yellow cards, the pitch was cutting up badly, and the ref had a stinker ..... and ian black getting twonked by brown at the end of the game for fun and giggles and ghana winning against guinea 3-0 too

stadiumforindiana.comIndy Eleven's proposed new stadium has a website that shows off the proposed $82 million facility. I think it looks pretty cool, but you know who should not be invited to the grand opening? Dan Dakich. He went on a show-opening tirade on how soccer fans are nothing but 20-something manchildren, while American football fans are legit adults. Ignoring the fact that there are serious adult soccer fans who view it as America's top niche sport, while there are plenty of obnoxious football fans who act like petulant brats at games. Isn't Dakich a known blowhard? Just ignore him. I'm almost 37 and a big American Football fan.... but my love for Football continues to grow.

I don't foresee a busy day.
Chelsea will complete the Cuadrado signing, but I don't think any significant is in the offing.
