Bret Hull scored, the Stars won the cup. The Sabres never did. End of discussion What the hell does that even mean? While, yes, both of your statements are true how does that negate it being a terrible call? I'm genuinely curious because I have never seen anyone argue that it was the correct call. It clearly was not, especially after a season where the skate in the crease rule was so heavily enforced. I dont know what you mean? I mean the record stands that the Dallas Stars won the Stanley Cup and Hull scored a goal. What more is there(stares sternly at you and motions to friends Vinny and Rocco).

And Deion Sanders was called safe. Granted, the Blue Jays still won that World Series, but that was a triple play that was taken away from them.

Hull's foot was in the crease, he didn't have control of the puck, it's no goal. It was such an amazing and "correct" call, they repealed the rule immediately after.

It's fun to argue the last 2 seconds, the preceding, what, 89 years it took to play that game, not so much.

I am a diehard bleeding blue and gold Pacers fan but Reggie Miller's legacy is basically built on these calls...The replay in the NBA is in place because of his nonsense

You could fill a top 10 list with Howard Webb reffing Man Utd games alone. They didn't call him Man Utd's 12th man for nothing You're right. Other fans did call him that out of bitterness

The end of the Oklahoma/Oregon game, where Oklahoma recovered Oregon's attempted onside kick, went into the dogpile with it, came out of the pile with it, and refs still somehow ruled that Oregon recovered despite Oregon never showing clear possession of the ball. The replay official said he even saw that Oklahoma recovered it but didn't correct the call on the field, despite being asked who recovered by the officials on the field.

As much as it pains me to say so: That should not have been a touchdown. As a Michigan fan..... I agree 100%.

Lewis Hamilton being stripped of his 1998 Belgian Grand Prix Win.
Kimi Raikkonen got over defensive, It was either cut the curb or crash into him, Straight away he gave the place back.
If he hadn't than fair enough. But he did so whats the problem?
Absolute Bullshit
No wonder FIA was being called Ferraris Instant Associates at the time.

That Redskins/Rams game when the replacement refs were in full effect. Those dudes weren't calling anything and both sides were cheapshotting the hell out of each other.
The Olympics are chockful of BS calls, I remember one in (I think) the Atlanta games where the US Women's Gymnastics needed a low score from the Chinese on the floor exercise and one of the judges penalized the Chinese girl for a uniform violation or something, basically as the girl was performing her leotard rode up and somehow that was a deductible penalty.

The replay official said he even saw that Oklahoma recovered it but didn't correct the call on the field, despite being asked who recovered by the officials on the field. The ball wasn't even in the dogpile. Nobody had gained possession and the ball shot out, but everyone was still diving on the pile, and Allen Patrick recovered the ball. The refs were still trying to get to the bottom of the pile, while Patrick is showing them that he has the ball, but they somehow determined that Oregon recovered the kick.
