Man, powerbombing Dixie Carter through a table was so worth it, wasn't it?

I remember on the last day of the July tapings at the end of the show he came out and started talking about how he believes in the company and wouldn't be there if he didn't. Kinda surreal in retrospect.

Fitting since TNA been aping ECW for the NYC tapings that it all ends in similar fashion. I wonder if the wrestlers will bring out a cooler full of beer to the ring post show for the last scheduled house show.

He's done all he can do in that company. At this point (if they don't go under with the whole Spike TV snafu) the further they get away from ECW the better.

After seeing him and Devon in their retro ring gear thursday, I seriously hope to see them in WWE by the end of the year. Man, that just reminded me, if his contract is done today, he could be in WWE tomorrow while TNA is still airing a series of matches he is a part of that was supposed to end at BFG. Wow that is some horrible business.

Yeah its been a year in the making he's been telling everyone that would listen that he wanted to end his career on the E, or to continue his other dream and direct porn...."Calfzilla" starting Velvet Sky (not the shitty wrestler)

No ill will towards the guy.
I had no idea his contract was up, so he was pretty much a company man (calling a roster meeting, doing promo appearances, etc.) until the very end. Guy did his job, didn't make a big deal over his contract ending to the "dirt sheets" and now if this is true can move on.
Gotta respect him for all that, no matter what I think of TNA as a whole. Seems to be a standup type guy.

Yeah, that's pretty rough. In the state you're in right now, if you want to get on a new network, you sign Bully Ray.
I feel he's been very good for the company. He's not beaten ECIII in a one on one match yet, and his whole feud reminds me of the lopsided Punk vs Raven feud from ROH, and it was done like that to get Punk over, and I really think Bully helped ECIII tremendously with this feud. He was also involved in a huge moment with Dixie Carter, and has been back in the tag team division to try and heat up the Wolves (though Davey is injured).
Honestly, I think Bully is just smart enough to know the writing is on the wall and he needs to get himself out and maybe to WWE. Or, he could go the AJ Styles route and do the indies. He and Devon could probably tear up the indies, especially with a team like Bad Influence on the indies, and promoters could really do a good job booking matches like that.
But yeah, I'm guessing he left because he doesn't want to sign with a dead company.

If WWE wanted Bully Ray back, wouldn't he be there already? I'm not positive WWE is an option for him.
But yeah, they really are f***ed. In the back of my mind I thought it was just another TNA scare and they'd figure it out, but they can't afford to keep talent, because they don't make any money.

If a dude that's been that much of a cornerstone of your programming over the last couple years is taking off, that's it.
Time to start shutting off the lights.

Unlike most in TNA, every time 3D has been free agents, WWE has actually come to them. Last time was shortly before Bully got the main event push and choose to stick around. There seems to be a lot of good will on both side and WWE needs some vets that can work and teach at the same time like Finlay a few years back.

I'm just going to take note of the bit about Ray suggesting the whole Dixie Carter through a table debacle, just because nobody else is. So we can blame him for that, it seems.
The rest - yeah, sounds like he's doing good by the locker room and has a good plan for himself, so all the better to him.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Dudley's (or Hardy's for that matter) for a short program to help put over the Uso's. Anything more then that though? Meh.
