No? He gains nothing by defeating Rusev, however he's been booked so strongly against him I think Rusev takes the win whenever the match occurs.

It's still a great story since you do have someone who's represented America in a major fashion that the fans will easily be behind and wanting to see destroy Rusev. When he fails, the crowd's just gonna hate Rusev even more and be anxious to see who finally dethrones the guy

Well, duh, Mark Henry's black. Black people don't win in WWE these days.

They're getting Rusev ready for Cena. I just hope that Rusev is beaten by Cena in an Umaga-like way, instead of a Viscera-like way.

How perfect would Kurt Angle be for this, if it was 5 years ago and he wasn't on 'roids or drugs or drinking heavily.

I will hold out hope that Mark inducts Rusev into the Hall of Pain.

Yep. Mark has gone from having so much momentum and support to being a midcard stepping stone. It saddens me.
So, Mark is getting to tap while we build up to "WHO CAN SAVE AMERICA? ABBBADOOOOO!"

I still think Roman is more likely to get it, since he would benefit more from the credibility than Cena would. That said, Mark Henry probably only has a few more years left, so it makes sense that he would put over people while people still care.

It's really not about who will takedown Rusev but more about what will Rusev do when this foreign monster heel push is done for.

I actually don't think Cena is going to be the guy to dethrone Rusev: that belongs to Reigns.
They are going all-out with the guy and him being the guy who stops the unstoppable on the way to beating the guy who ended the unstoppable streak - Lesnar - would be a great way to make him their next big star. I see Cena slowly getting pushed down the card until he eventually loses clean to Reigns after Reigns is the man who topples Lesnar.
Cena's years are becoming numbered.

I expect this feud to be quietly dropped after Mark Henry gets injured working this match at a house show due to someone in the crowd sneezing.

Not decisively, but he should have a freakin' Flag match that actually involved the flag. Unless this particular losing streak is going somewhere. ...Nah.

Still just be fun with Mark's promos & such.
Mark got his great HoP title run, and is clearly in the wind down/put people over phase of his career. I've got no problem with that. Big guy always does whatecer he's asked.
