I like to imagine Tazz's WWE career was that first match with Angle, and that's it. It's better that way. You're right, after that...they tried to put him against Kurt and The Rock once, and he looked so amateur, like out of place there.

While they botched them all soon afterwards Booker T and DDP's debuts were great.
Raven's debut (though Scott Levy's return) to WWE during the Lawler/Tazz match got a massive pop too.

Didn't Santino debut by winning the IC title?

I always liked how Goldberg debuted in WCW. He appeared as a random jobber, but we saw he is actually a badass powerhouse.

Kane. He attacked a former WWF champion, and icon even at that point, in a first time gimmick match in the main event of a PPV. Only would've been bigger if he won a WWF title. He was made to be a big deal.
Speaking of big deal, Del rio debuted right away by attacking Mysterio.
Also, the Shield should be up there.

I like to imagine Tazz's WWE career was that first match with Angle, and that's it. It's better that way. Nuh-uh! He used an illegal choke, so it doesn't count!

I always liked how Goldberg debuted in WCW. He appeared as a random jobber, but we saw he is actually a badass powerhouse. He didn't even answered Mean Gene's questions, that was so bad ass! Sullivan and Goldberg both credit Hugh Morrus as the perfect guy to put over Goldberg so the streak would start.
