Now, lots and lots of people are whining that it sounds like Stone Sour, and just like all the other times I've ever heard those complaints over the years...I don't get it. Sure, it's not the heaviest thing ever, but it's good, and seriously sounds nothing like Stone Sour, at least to me.
Am I crazy?

Who plays bass now that Paul Grey is dead?

Who plays bass now that Paul Grey is dead? Donnie Steele appears to be their touring bassist. Not sure if he's playing it on this album or not.

Drums sound programmed.
Aside from the part around the 3:45 mark, the song is meh....

This kinda sounds like their "Vermillion" or "Snuff" of this album.
I'm digging it.... although, I've also been in a nostalgic mood for my college years lately. Time will tell if it holds up for me.

Listening to it now, and based off the way Corey's singing I can definitely hear Stone Sour influence in there; it's Stone Sour verses with a Slipknot chorus.
I couldn't care less as I love melodic Slipknot, but I can see where people might get that.

Pretty much what I'm thinking, as well. I don't like it nearly as much as I like Vermilion, but it's still a rad song.

Good stuff, but yeah I'm another one that enjoys both Stone Sour and Slipknot.
Corey doesn't get enough credit as a vocalist. Listening to the way he harmonizes here and on some other stuff like Dead Memories, I'd actually like to hear him try some Motown material- he's got a lot of "soul" in his voice for a metal singer. (I doubt he wants to anytime soon, but still.)

I'm honestly not a big fan of Stone Sour other than "Bother", but I definitely agree that Corey is super underrated as a singer.

I absolutely love Slipknot and am a big Stone Sour fan. I think the only reason so many people say Slipknot sounds like Stone Sour now is because Corey is singing and not screaming as much. This is my first time listening to this song, and can say it'll probably be, if not the softest, one of the softest songs on the album. Anyone who wants to see what Corey is capable of, and why he should get more recognition for his vocal capability, should check out some of the stuff he did on his acoustic tour. A lot of it is on Youtube.

Yeah, this is good but if not for the drum track this could be straight off HoGaB 2. Good stuff though but I think Corey could sing the damned phone booked and I would love it. Really looking forward to the new album.

Nah, dog, nah. The two songs have been pretty underwhelming for me.

I liked their first two albums. After that it went downhill. All my siblings (3 + me) were huge fans during the early 2000's. Now, not so much.
