Original news item doesn't say they have a new network, just a new home.
May not mean anything, and just be semantics, but couldn't it mean they're going iPPV or the like?

I wouldn't mind if they went iPPV. Because at least that way, they can drop all the other shit that's costing them money (i.e. renting out the Impact Zone), and re-prioritize their resources towards paying/signing talent.

Just because a company is no longer in business it doesn't mean its automatically for sale. I can see Dixie (unless Panda attempt to overrule her) just keep hold of the TNA library and trademarks because she can. She should keep adding one person to the hall of fame each year too.

The worst news about this is reading that Spike want out of wrestling all together. I think TNA are getting what they deserve but it still sucks to lose a nationally televised wrestling company.

For those wondering why Spike is letting TNA stay on as a "gesture of goodwill", just ask yourself this question.
If you were a network executive in charge of programming, and you have a program that produced 2 hours worth of original content every week and the plan is to no longer carry that type of programming on your channel. What would be the best and only reason (in my mind anyway) you would let them stay on past the final date of that contract.
Remember TV programming is a business, and you as director of programming are responsible for making sure that your lineup turns a profit for the company.

Remember also that TNA as a company understands that if they go off TV they become more irrelevant every week they are gone.

The rumored new network, Discovery's VELOCITY, is only available in less than half American households (45.77% of households with television).

It's better than nothing. Not really. If even less people have access to your network than before, you matter even less and make a lot less money.

"Velocity Network programming is diverse, intelligent and engaging, with series geared toward events, with live auctions and world rally championships, real-life adrenaline-pumping shows, and historical and biographical programming."

About time for that concept to get dug out the junkyard.

You and I both know that TNA are not in much of a position to negotiate. I'm just glad that SOMEONE is willing to pick them up. I'd rather they be on a shitty TV channel than no TV channel at all.

It's rumored for about 1/4 of what they got before from Spike. Can't watch it at home as Cablevision doesn't offer that channel.
Verizon Fios has it but it's buried on their 2nd highest tier package (means my cheap ass mother in law doesn't have it).
IDK about Time Warner or Comcast either maybe someone can check see where it is.
edit : Comcast don't have it either....who the hell does Satellite TV?
edit again : Time Warner does...so in the NYC metro area it's Time Warner or Fios

If said new network isn't giving TNA enough to get by, they put themselves even further in the hole. Might as well and call Toby Keith back and tell him you'll take any deal he offers.

well if you believe wiki spike is in 98 million homes and velocity is only in 52 million. 1.1 will become .5 maybe less

well if you believe wiki spike is in 98 million homes and velocity is only in 52 million. 1.1 will become .5 maybe less That really just means available homes. If every single person it was available to had it, it would be in 52 million homes. That's why the Spike, USA, TNN, TNT numbers are close to accurate is they are on a basic/low end tier. This Velocity channel doesn't seem to appear that way.
