his fans seem to like him as is non- fans won't care or will be glad he's gone. Net fans will just wonder what his gimmick change will be and if WWE will waste the opportunity. This isn't Hogan vs Bundy or Quake His fans do like him as is, but they could get more people to be fans of him if they took a risk on a story arc which stayed consistent for longer than a month. Non-fans will be glad he's gone, yes, but much like when Cena returned at the Royal Rumble in a shocking way, absence makes fans happy they're back, makes non-fans realize what they had (see the cheers from the NYC crowd at said event), and net fans aren't a new breed. They're either fans or non-fans. Add in the storyline and you could have more people cheering Cena. Even then, maybe people never will cheer Cenadue to the horrendous way the company has treated logic in storytelling over the last decade, but we don't know until something like that happens. Hell, look at Nexus. Cena was the underdog there and kept being put into hopeless situations, and he was getting the most consistent cheers he had in his entire run as a main eventer during that. Then as soon as they had Cena shrug everything off, effortlessly destroy Nexus, and literally bury Barrett the crowd immediately turned on him again.

Personal opinion, an change in character will result in fewer people cheering him. His younger fans won't like him as much and IWC type fans won't trust the change or will keep booing just to be stubborn

Lesnar should be portrayed as the one guy who can make Cena submit. It would defy any sort of normal logic for Brock to bust up Cena's arm and shoulder with a Kimura and not have Cena tap. I almost kinda hope that we see Lesnar counter the STF and somehow transition to the Kimura in the middle of the ring, and instead of Cena passing out from the pain, we get Lesnar snapping off Cena's arm and the ref calling it while Cena writhes in agony. Lesnar really should be the man that breaks down Cena and everything he stands for. It should be up to someone else to be Lesnar's kryptonite. why? what does it serve? it destroys a character, disappoints some kids YOU'RE BUILDING UP TO SOMEONE NEW TAKING BROCK DOWN AND CREATING A NEW HERO. Cena has a decade of overcoming anything and everything, he can take one hit on his record. No one that has any sense will think Cena is a liar, traitor or any of that bullshit because he tapped out. Every top guy has reached that point and we are at Cena's and that brings me to the kids, SCREW THEM. If they cannot take Cena losing and it drives them from WWE, good. For the rest let them learn to taste some disappointment like most sane and well rounded wrestling fans have. Let them experience what I did when Sting was destroyed by Vader, screwed over by Flair and turned on by Hogan. Let them experience what I did when Hogan was killed by Yoko, Austin got f***ed over by Vince and Mankind was betrayed. Because later on down the line, those that stick around will be rewarded when someone finally puts the big bad guy down.

Losing the match does not mean of break down of Cena's spirit and everything he stands for I have no clue what you're trying to say so...purple. it's very hard to keep track of what everyone wants based on the hyperbole in this thread. Does Cena just need to lose? Does he need a character revamp based off of this feud? Do some people actually think he should be shown to be psychologically broken after a loss?
