Am I the only one who actually tuned in to watch the final image of CW's Jettix lineup to wish a final farewell to Saturday Morning Cartoons? It was a near ten year old episode of Yu-Gi-Oh.

As a kid I was huge on Yu-Gi-Oh, loved it almost as much as DBZ. Never was in to Pokemon tho.

I'm watching it right now, actually.
Seeing those ads for "One Magnificent Morning" actually made me sick to my stomach. Looks like the soccer moms, FCC, and cable providers won...

I was on the waning end of my interest in kids animated shows outside of a few old favorites when Yu-Gi-Oh was in its prime. I would have been a junior or senior in high school. God I feel like a fossil now.

I didn't know Saturday Morning cartoon blocks still existed anywhere. I thought they ended at least ten years ago.

Some crappy E/I block by Litton called "One Magnificent Morning". There's still cable, but Nickelodeon(aside from TMNT and Korra) and the Disney Channel suck. And before anyone tries to defend the Disney Channel, I consider Gravity Falls, Wander over Yonder, and Phineas and Ferb Disney XD shows now.

To me the real era of the Saturday Morning cartoons was long over? Where were the shows were an action star in cartoon form solved mysteries with the help of child gymnasts? Were where the shows about teenage boys who are merged with their car? Where were the shows where a child sitcom star in cartoon form played an angel who was also a human or...?

It's gonna be a reality/documentary lifestyle block aimed at teens and families, so I really don't understand why people are that upset about the programming. I mean understand some people can't get over things from their youth going away but it's not like the Saturday Morning cartoon block was exactly lively anymore to begin with, nor is it's the only option for kids who want to watch cartoons. But no, let's get mad that people maybe learn something from watching TV instead of seeing a decade old cartoon.

Most of the cartoons are usually put on at night, or on a Sunday I love Marvel's animation block on Sundays. I can understand why they do it at night rather than Saturday morning and if its not on at night its in the afternoon because more kids will watch and more family time can happen

Watched some of it. Thought it was funny that a lot of these shows were ending on cliffhangers like DBZ Kai and Yugioh. And i was expecting some kind of farewell message at the end of Zexal, but instead it just led to the show playing afterwards.

And I'm not just pissed because of it dying but because of how it died: whiny lazy scapegoating soccer moms and the pussy ass FCC forcing everything to go to cable because of ridiculous and needless regulations. And besides, those Litton shows are boring as hell. You can be educational and still be entertaining(see: PBS Kids).

Sad truth is that it is a tradition no one cares about enough at this stage to do any kind of farewell.

I'm a little glad I'm so far removed from Saturday Morning Cartoons, otherwise I'd be pretty damn livid right now.
I remember the Saturday Morning marathons of trying to wake up at the butt-crack of dawn so I could watch one show on this channel, then as soon as that ended, switch to this show on this channel, then to another show on a different channel... it was absolutely amazing to have so many options at one point.
