Just completed the game {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}What an utter disappointment the last major bosses are.
Quick time events, really? I went to each of the last 2 bosses expecting an epic battle to the death and instead I get quick time events?
Quick time events, are you kidding me?
It's really soured me on what was until that point a great game. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}I agree, that was anti-climactic. At least the battle right before it had that epic feel to it. Talion leading his army of mind-controlled Orcs on an all-out assault on Ered Glamhoth. Finally got around to it... {Spoiler}I didn't mind the Tower fight too much I kinda liked that it wasn't really a fight and more a stealth thing... but yeah the Black Hand was a major letdown

I just beat the entire game, completely. Story + all side missions + achievements. Overall it was very good. Still need to tidy up my nemesis uruks screens a bit.
I will say though that nemesis system helped make getting those achievements more fun, because it formed some of their own little stories for me, particularly the last one I got which were the graug heel and the level 25 rune one. Where one of my major nemesis Nicknamed the Crafty was finally beaten, after failing to achieve from other war chieftans (kept getting epic runes instead of the level 25 reg rune), then on the sea of numen map, Crafty (a poison arrow archer uruk who constantly lived up to his name) was promoted to War Chief after I failed again with his master war chief.
The map had this castle which I had to infiltrate to get him. When he finally appeared flanked by 2 other of my nemesises whom I killed before (explosive arrow archer and rapid fire arrow archer, one with a burn on his face, the other, ghostly pale white) and three other uruk captains already in the castle as well. Well, he was scared of Caragors which I fortunately found by opening a few cages.
It was difficult to traverse the castle to get to Crafty as he was running away and I was constantly being attacked by waves of orcs and their captains as well as the caragors. The biggest mistake that Crafty fool made was trying to escape the castle. This was when he was finally left alone in the open, running, when I caught up to him tackling him to the ground in front of a camp fire. I threw him in, and he fell to his knees. It was satisfying when he was insisting that he said something along the lines, begging, rather than being defiant to his death like others: "No gravewalker, wait please. I have gold! You like gold don't you?" Then dagger in neck, sword through the side, head off. Wow. Two achievements in one, by using his fears and getting that level 25 rune finally, thus completing the game 100%.
* Nemesis system should be adopted by other games - imagine it in other Open World games like Red Dead Redemption or Bully, where a common outlaw or school kid gets "promoted" into being a reoccurring enemy. Innovative stuff here that I hope to see used again in the near future.

The nemesis system is without a doubt the best part of this game and I don't think it would have been worth it if it wasn't there. Also I didn't' get all the Achievements yet but I did do all of the side quests before I beat the game.... debating going for the rest of the acheivements I missed... but generally I don't

This is my game of the year. The story is absolutely worthless, however the gameplay is more than enough to make up for it. As a Lord of the Rings game, it utterly fails -- but as Orc Murder Simulator 2k15, it raises the f***ing bar. It really only does one thing well--killing orcs--but it does that one thing really, really well. There's not a whole lot of subtlety here, but that's okay, because I much prefer a game that's really fun at one thing than one that is mediocre at a ton of them.

Thinking it over I stick with my original statements... the actual gameplay itself is Arkham... which is not a negative but it's not really anything new. the Story is "ok", it's nothing ground breaking but it's passable... and the last boss is really underwhelming... especially considering some of the battles you will undoubtedly have with the captains and warchiefs up to this point. The Nemesis system is fantastic and is 100% the reason to play this game. I'd hate to play this game without it. Which apparently you can on last gen... but you'd probably wonder why anyone would like this game

It's a game that starts out like Batman and ends like Pokemon.

People realize by now that when they say Arkham they mean Assasins Creed right? A lot of the stuff is very AC, but better. The combat is identical to Arkham though, thankfully, because AC combat is terrible.

I agree with the general sentiment here. Without the Nemesis system this game would be mediocre at best but gosh, the nemesis system is freaking amazing so for me it pushes the game up from 5/10 to a solid 8/10. It's genius and so well done. I honestly can't wait for it to be adapted into other games. Imagine GTA with a nemesis system? How awesome would that be
