The article he posted was published on the 13th of October. So no. But it's NEWZ technically until the Bryan/Brie/WWE come out with the news. So no rumors should ever be posted then, even from people who have been correct with regards to the same topic is what you're saying

Jeez, he may as well just retire and leave on a high note at this point. He's going to be gone so long there's a serious chance he won't be able to recapture his momentum. I'm glad we got to see his rise to WrestleMania.

At the of the day, no matter what stems from this, he truly made it in the WWE. He's a 3-time WWE champ, a former WHC champ, he had an entire WM built around him (including closing the Main Event), he sold a crapload of merch, he beat Cena clean at SummerSlam, he tagged with The Undertaker, he had great matches with vets like Triple H, Jericho and Punk, and he had great ones with the future in guys like Rollins and Cesaro.

I wouldn't think TJ surgery would be 8-12 months for a wrestler.
For a baseball pitcher or a football quarterback, yea.
For a wrestler, I'd guess it would be however long a normal torn tendon/muscle surgery would take.
That would possibly make it one year of total time off, all injuries/surgeries combined.

Before I get into the seriousness of it, calling something "Tommy John surgery" if you don't know who Tommy John is, just sounds like a house-wife friendly euphemism for a circumcision or something.
"He's having some work on his um....*mouths* TOMMY JOHN...so will be out of action for a bit"

NEWZ or not have you guys actually watched any of his matches from last year? He was wrestling using an insane style, doing double duties on a night to night basis and not to mention taking insane bumps all year long. He could come back 5 years from now and I'll still be surprised.

Speaking of Total Divas, isn't it about to catch up to the point in Total Divas where this news bit would have been new? Maybe the writer misinterpreted a press release or something.

WWE shouldn't rush him back. If he needs 2 years out so be it, if they don't want him getting paid for doing nothing, have him help train guys in NXT until he's fully fit.

IF it is true, can we have the news announced live on Raw by BNB? He gets colossal heat, we get a memorable moment which promotes another talent out of what is some shit news, and it gives Bryan a ready made feud and someone to go after when he returns

Grats on your world title Ambrose Roman Reigns. Fixed for Creative accuracy. NEWZ or not have you guys actually watched any of his matches from last year? He was wrestling using an insane style, doing double duties on a night to night basis and not to mention taking insane bumps all year long. He could come back 5 years from now and I'll still be surprised. Yep, wrestling the style that Bryan did is a double edge sword. It gets the crowd popping for you like crazy but you're going to wear your body down far quicker. If Bryan keeps it up when he returns he's going to end up being another Rey Mysterio down the line.

You know what? With Roman Reigns set to return at the Royal Rumble and Dean Ambrose capturing the audiences' imaginations right now, I think it would be best for Daniel Bryan to get the surgery and heal back to 100 percent health, as opposed to putting it aside and potentially rushing back early.
I'm fine with Bryan being off-screen for another 6-12 MONTHS if it means we'll get him for another 6-12 YEARS. I'd rather see that than see Bryan come back way too soon, then have to really call it a career sometime next fall if he reaggrivates the injury.
Let Reigns and Ambrose duke it out over fan appreciation like Batista and Bryan did last January and February, and let one of those two be the one to conquer Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31. I'd rather see that story play out than Bryan returning, winning the belt, then unceremoniously being forced to surrender the championship because he hurt himself again.
